Warriors top Hatch Valley
The Socorro High School Warriors boys basketball team downed Hatch Valley 84-74 on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
The win ranks Socorro (9-13, 3-0) as the only undefeated team in District 3-3A.
The Warriors wrap up the regular season this week with district games on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at Hot Springs and at home on Friday, Feb. 19, against Hatch Valley. Both games start at 4 p.m. with the C-team.
Junior PGA Golf registration open
Membership registration for the Sun Country PGA Junior Golf Tour is now open.
This year’s Junior Tour will host approximately 50 golf tournaments across the state of New Mexico and El Paso, Texas.
2010 memberships will cost $35 and individual tournament entries will be $25 (exceptions include the tour championships and qualifiers).
Prospective members can register online, get more info and see the 2010 tournament schedule at the Sun Country PGA website www.suncountry.pga.com or can receive more information by calling 505-897-0864. The first 600 registrants will be accepted into the Junior Tour.
