Wolberg graduates pathfinder school
U.S. Army Capt. Sarah Wolberg graduated from the U.S. Army Pathfinder School at Fort Benning, Ga.
Of the approximately 160 soldiers who began the course, only about 40 graduated, and Wolberg was the only woman.
Wolberg, a 1997 graduate of Socorro High School, was a West Point graduate, Class of 2002. She served in the 101st Airborne as a combat engineer under the command of Gen. David Petraeus through the entire invasion of Iraq, from Kuwait to Mosul.
Wolberg also recently graduated from the U.S. Military graduate school in Monterey, Calif., with a master’s degrees in mathematics and physics, and will now return to West Point to teach mathematics.
Sarah is the daughter of Dr. Donald Wolberg and the late Patsy Reinard, a Socorro attorney. By circumstance, her graduation from Pathfinder’s School comes on the third anniversary of her mother’s death.
