Sen. Tom Udall seeking applicants for internships
U.S. Senator Tom Udall invites New Mexico college students interested in gaining legislative or press relations experience to apply for internships in his Washington, D.C. or state offices. Internships are available in the Washington D.C., Las Cruces, Albuquerque, Carlsbad and Santa Fe offices.
“Working in either my state or Washington office will give students a unique and unparalleled perspective into the inner workings of the ‘world’s greatest deliberative body.’ Interns also play an integral role in my office’s day-to-day operations,” Udall said. “This is a great learning experience for anyone interested in public service and I encourage students to apply.”
All internships may count toward college credit. Students should check with their respective college or university for requirements. College students from New Mexico or college students attending New Mexico schools are given first preference, and students of all majors are encouraged to apply.
Candidates are encouraged to apply online at www.tomudall.senate.gov. The deadline to apply for Washington internships is Sept. 15. State internship deadlines, however, are flexible.
