SEDILLO – Rachel G. Sedillo  (Maria Racquelita Gonzales), 70, passed away peacefully on  Friday, March 2, 2012 in Albuquerque, NM surrounded by her loving family. Rachel was born in Socorro, NM on March 11, 1941, to Jose G. and Gina (Gallegos) Gonzales. She was a lifelong resident of Socorro although she resided in Hurley, NM for a brief time. She loved to bake and was an amazing cook. Rachel enjoyed visiting the casino occasionally and was an avid Tiger Woods fan – she enjoyed watching him play golf. Rachel’s passion and calling in life was caring for others. She was a Caregiver for many years and found great joy in doing so. She adored her children and her grandchildren to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Morris Gonzales, and her son, Anthony Dale Sedillo.Rachel is survived by  her devoted children, Selina Buenning and husband, Gary; and Joe Sedillo and wife, Tiffani; her grandchildren, Anthony and Nicole  Buenning; and Trent Dale,  Jennifer Jayden, and Trinniti Monique Sedillo; and her brothers, Juan; Connie and wife, Natti; Ernest and wife, Dorothy; Tommy and wife, Frances; Floyd; and  Raymond and wife, Berna. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, March 5, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Socorro Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. A Private Interment will take place in the San Miguel Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions or donations may be given, in Rachel’s honor, to The American Diabetes Association at donations.diabetes.org. GONZALES – Baby Malachi Anthony Gonzales, went home to be an angel with our lord and savior on Tuesday, February 21, 2012. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on February 21, 2012, to Shawn E. Gonzales and Natasha S. Chavez. Baby Malachi is survived by his loving parents; his big brother, Shawn Eduplido Gonzales Jr.; paternal grandmother, Pricilla Garcia; paternal grandfather, Leandro Gonzales; maternal grandmother, Lori McCutheon; maternal grandfather, Daniel Chavez; and many other loving family members. A Mass of Angels will be celebrated on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the San Miguel Catholic Church with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment will take place in San Miguel Catholic Cemetery. SMITH – Frankie Marie Smith, 86, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Wednesday, February 22. Frankie was a long time resident of Socorro. She is preceded in death by her husband Lucius Smith, son Roy Smith, Grandson Lucius Towner and sisters Nita Johnson, Frances Zeuver, Rosie Jenkins and brothers Ricky Carpenter, Charlie Carpenter, Luther Carpenter Jr. and Roy Carpenter. Frankie was the last surviving sibling. She is survived by her daughter  Iva Greiner and husband Bob, Son Jabe  Smith and wife Mary all of Socorro. Also by her grandchildren Jabe Towner of Colorado, Malisa Smith and husband Marlin, Duane Smith, Savannah Smith, Daniel Smith, Michelle Thorn and Tara Tarver of Socorro} Denise and Danny Smith of Idaho. Frankie also had 17 Great grandchildren and 21 Great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by all of her family and friends. Frankie was known for her excellent cooking and love to work outdoors. She had a laugh that was unforgettable. We love you Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. It has been an adventurous journey here on earth. We know you are at piece with your lord and savior.

KAISER – Lois Ann (Cunningham) Kaiser, 88, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, March 5, 2012 in Socorro, NM surrounded by her loving family. Lois was born in Cadott, WI on May 21, 1923, to Robert D. and Helen (Fessenden) Cunningham. Lois was a resident of Campbell, California for the majority of her lifetime but later resided in Edgewood, NM from 2000-2009 with her son and then in Socorro since July of 2009. Lois had a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, a true calling in life, She found much joy in taking care of others. She retired in 1963. Lois was an excellent cook  and loved to read. At the time of her passing she was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society in Socorro. She was preceded in death by her Parents, her beloved daughter, Barbara Williams-Rollings, and her son in law,Willard Rollings. Lois is survived by her devoted sons, W. Scott Williams and wife, Judy; Stephen Williams and wife, Annie; Robert Kaiser Jr. and Anna Cutler; her grandchildren, Eric Williams and wife, Michelle; Amy Williams and Terwiliger Paige; Ashley Campbell and husband, Chris; Shane Kaiser; Tanner Kaiser; and Robert Kaiser III; and her great grandchildren, Elyssa, Kaitlyn, and Leah Williams. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 9, 2012, at 11:00 am at the Presbyterian Church of Socorro, 304 McCutcheon Ave. W., Socorro. Interment will take place in the Socorro Cemetery at a later date.
