Unofficial Municipal Election Results
Barbara Baca was re-elected and Eleanor “Dolly” Dawson returned to a position she held four years ago after voting was completed for the village of Magdalena’s board of trustees.
Baca and Dawson were the top vote getters in a four-person race during municipal elections held Tuesday, March 6. They defeated William H. Otero and Arthur Rauschenberg.
In addition, incumbent Robert Serna beat Toby A. Jaramillo in the race for municipal judge.
The unofficial vote count in the election of Magdalena trustees is as follows:
- Barbara Baca — 98
- Elenor “Dolly” Dawson — 87
- Arthur Rauschenberg — 59
- William H. Otero — 54
For municipal judge:
- Robert Serna — 100
- Toby A. Jaramillo — 49
In Socorro, four incumbent city councilors ran unopposed. The unofficial vote totals were:
- Ward 1 — Toby Jaramillo — 119
- Ward 2 — Mary Ann Chavez-Lopez — 122
- Ward 3 — Michael Olguin Jr. — 121
- Ward 4 — Peter D. Romero — 126
For municipal judge, Frances P. Cases ran unopposed. She received 118 votes.
