Woman transported after car crash
A 39-year-old Truth or Consequences woman was transported to an El Paso hospital early Saturday morning following a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 25 near mile marker 120.
On April 27, at about 11:20 p.m., police responded to the crash after the woman lost control of her green 1997 Infiniti while traveling southbound on I-25. The woman rolled the vehicle at least once, according to New Mexico State Police Lt. Jason Green.
Green said the woman, whose name was not released, was found walking along the shoulder of the road 22 miles south of the where the incident happened at about midnight. Police found the vehicle “warm, with the keys in the ignition.”
Green said the woman was apparently walking because she was “dazed” from the crash. She was transported to University Medical Center of El Paso. Alcohol was not a factor.
He said it’s unclear how the woman got to the area in such a short period of time. No one else was injured.
“I’m not sure what the situation was there,” Green said.
He said he was unsure if the woman will be charged with leaving the scene of the crash.
