VEGA – Dennis Ray Vega, 49, passed away peacefully on  Thursday, August 16, 2012 in Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Socorro, NM on June 21,1963 to Hector Vega and Maria E.C. (Torres) Sisneros. Dennis was a lifelong resident of New Mexico, But Socorro was always home.  Dennis was a licensed Auto Mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and he was an all time avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. More than anything, Dennis enjoyed being with his family for gatherings and BBQ’s. He loved his family very much. Dennis is survived by his loving Mother, Maria E.C. Sisneros; his devoted father, Hector Vega and step mother, Maria; his brother, Manuel T. Vega and wife, Pamela; his sister, Rebecca E. Vega; his loving nieces and nephews, Holly, Chris, Sammie, Manuel Jr., Vicente, Angelica, Giovanna, Analisa, and David; and many other loving members and close friends. A Holy Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 8:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church followed by a Mass of Resurrection which will be celebrated at 9:00 am with Father Andrew Pavlak as Celebrant. Interment  will be held in the  Polvadera Cemetery. Pallbearer is Darryl Cases. PARTRIDGE –  Danette Mills Partridge passed away Thursday, August 16, 2012, at her home in Socorro, New Mexico after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born December 3, 1947 in McNary, Arizona, to Gilbur and Neola (Reidhead) Mills. She grew up in Show Low, Arizona. She attended school in Show Low and Snowflake. She was a member of the band and played the cornet. Her greatest love were her horses. She also loved hunting and camping. She married Terry Webb in 1962, they had one child, Nova Lee. She lived in Wyoming but spent most of her married life in Socorro. She married Jerry Partridge, the love of her life, December 31, 2002. Jerry and her daughter Nova Lee were by her side when she passed away. Her family was very special to her.  She is survived by her husband, Jerry; her daughter, Nova Lee and her husband Edmundo A. Soto Jr; two grandsons, Jason Fejes; and Skyler Soto; all of Socorro; her great grandson, Brennon Robinson – Fejes; four sisters, Yvonne (Robert) Gibbons; Darla (Dick) Baird; Norene Ellsworth; and Chanda (Bill) Hunt; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbur & Neola Mills; her nephew, Gilbur Dean Cook; brother-in-law, Kenneth Ellsworth; mother-in-law, Joann Partridge; and her step-daughter, Jillian Partridge. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1112 El Camino Real in Socorro, New Mexico. CAMPBELL – James Craig Campbell, 58, passed away at home on Saturday evening, August 18, 2012.  Jim (J.C.)  was born in Franklin, PA on July 7, 1954, to  Donald E. and Norma G. (Fulkerson) Campbell.  He was preceded in death by his parents and he is survived by his daughter, Heather Campbell and grandson, Kayden of Cottonwood Heights, UT; daughter, Amanda Campbell of Midvale, UT; sister, Cathy (Kasi) Campbell of Ellicot City, MD; and his fiancee, Mary Templeton of Socorro, NM.  Jim retired from the Air Force in 1993 as a master sergeant where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal for establishing the Air Force’s only European-based solar observatory at San Vito Dei Normanni Air Station in Italy.  He came to Socorro in 1999 as a Very Large Array Radio Telescope operator for the National Radio Astronomy Observatory.  Jim played guitar and bass in several of Socorro’s bands (the Cowboy Way, Without a Drought, the Rhythm Prophets, and the Decanters).  He loved debating the world’s problems with friends at the M Mountain Coffee Shop, playing golf and working crossword puzzles with Mary, well concocted puns and pie.  His many friends will miss him. Jim’s Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 3:30 pm, at Daniels Family Funeral Services – Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro with Rev.
