Body found near burned vehicle
The Bernardo Volunteer Fire Department responded to U.S. 60 and N.M. 304 at 8 p.m. Monday in reference to a vehicle fire, according to a press release from the New Mexico State Police.
While extinguishing the fire, a body was found at the scene. The Socorro County Sheriff’s Department was called and they responded to the scene. Upon arrival, the sheriff’s department called New Mexico State Police to conduct the investigation.
The New Mexico State Police Criminal Investigations Bureau was called to investigate the scene. Crime scene agents responded and are working to identify the vehicle and the body.
