Why would congressman deny hurricane help?
According to the records of the clerk, Congressman Pearce voted nay on HR41, to temporarily increase the borrowing authority of the Federal Emergency Management Agency for carrying out the National Flood Insurance Program. The bill provides partial funding for the damage caused to the East Coast from Hurricane Sandy.
Why would he politicize funding for an emergency? Would he vote to deny funding to New Mexico citizens as well if, God forbid, we suffered an emergency in this state? Has he carried his flawed economic philosophy too far to insist on prior funding even for an emergency?
