Berger makes hole-in-one
Shania Berger, 16, made her first hole-in-one at Sandia Golf Course over the Easter weekend. Berger, a junior and a four-year member of the Lady Warriors golf team, was competing in the Rocky Mountain Junior Golf Tournament, March 30-31.
Her hole-in-one was on hole No. 3, par 3 (152 yards) and she used an 8-iron to get it there. She shot an overall six under par, 66, a career low and the low of the tournament. Berger shot even par, 72, on day two for a two day total of 138 and she walked away with the first place trophy.
