The Lady Warriors battled not only the wind, but also against a strong Silver City pitcher with hard hitting batters as they dropped their double header 20-0 and 9-0.

Silver City came out hitting early in the game as they scored eight runs at their first bat. The third inning hits by Silver would bag the game as they scored nine more runs to end the game via the mercy rule. The final score was 20-0.

Jaedin Gutierrez started at pitcher in the second game, and her technique challenged the Silver line up as Gutierrez’s tempo was not what Silver was used to hitting.

Socorro hung on strong for seven innings, but lost the second game 9-0.

The Lady Warriors are now split with one win and one loss in district play. “We will continue to work on our hitting and our game situations so that we can come back strong in the second round” Sandoval also said. Coach Sandoval made some defensive changes to change the memento of the game and continue to experience her bench.
