Robert E. “Bob” Perry, 64, a Bronze Star recipient and Army veteran, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, in Houston. He was preceded in death by his father, Adam Perry, and brothers Tom Perry and Sam Perry. Robert’s everlasting memory will live on through his daughter Vanessa Perry and his granddaughter Glamour Perry. Robert was such a selfless and generous human being. He will be greatly missed by so many of us.
Robert is also survived by his mother, Cecelia Perry, and his brothers David Perry and Kenny Perry, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Robert’s daughter expresses his gratitude to the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Eagle Riders for their support as Robert fought to recover from his injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, from noon to 8 p.m. with a celebration of life to take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013.
A reception is planned to honor Robert’s memory Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, following the 2 p.m. service at The Eagles Club, 13873 Highway 187, Caballo.

Elmer “Sonny” Jaramillo-Hovey, age 69, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, while surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque and a member of the Catholic community. He fondly known by many as “Sonny.”
Elmer enjoyed traveling and vacationing in Las Vegas, Nev. He was the family jokester, and loved spending quality time with his grandkids, whom he loved so much. Elmer was a proud veteran of the United States Army who served his country during the Vietnam War with the 101st Airborne Rangers. While serving in Vietnam he was prisoner of war for 17 days.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lydia Jaramillo and Ben Hovey; brother Orlando Jaramillo and wife, Yvonne; and sister Frances Sanchez.
Elmer is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jeannette Jaramillo; his children Carl Loy, Ted Jaramillo and Angela Jaramillo; his precious grandchildren Michael Ortiz, D’Angelo Jaramillo, Alyssa Jaramillo and Kareem Nassar; sisters Patricia Cordova and spouse, Eddie, and Ruth; and other numerous relatives and friends.
A rosary will be recited Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Road NW, Albuquerque, followed by a communion service at 7 p.m. Interment will be Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be D’Angelo Jaramillo, Michael Ortiz, Adam Garcia, Ben Garcia, Josh Lazano and Michael Aragon. Honorary bearers will be Danny Jaramillo, Rick Gutierrez, Richard Jaramillo, Bobby Aragon, Cody Frese and Charles Garcia.
