A woman in the 1200 block of El Camino Real, reported at 9:20 a.m. that she noticed her electric bill was higher than normal, and found an extension cord running from a neighbor’s home to an outlet at her residence. The officer contacted the neighbor who admitted plugging in the cord, but only for a few moments to check some lights. The neighbor was cited into court.
A man reported at 3:22 p.m. that a suspect was captured on video taking make-up from the business in the 900 block of California without paying. The officer attempted to locate the suspect without success at the time of the report.
A man reported at 8 p.m. that he returned to his home in the 500 block of Simpson to find the back door glass broken. He said the only items missing was a jar containing approximately $25 in change.
A suspect attempted to take several items without paying for them at a business in the 700 block of California. The suspect was cited.
A homeowner in the 500 block of Fitch reported at 2 p.m. his residence was burglarized during middle of day. Taken from the home was a $100 camera and an LL Bean backpack valued at $90.
A man on Eastwood Loop reported at 9:19 a.m. that a dog bit him on the pant leg. The owner of the dog was located and cited.
A man in the 300 block of Grant St. reported at 4:45 p.m. that an unknown suspect threw rocks at his vehicle causing damage.
A complainant reported at 7:13 p.m. that the suspect kicked in the door to her residence in the 1200 block of N. Sixth St. and entered the home. The suspect admitted to kicking in door. He was arrested and booked into county jail.
A complainant in the 200 block of Manzanares reported at 4:30 p.m. that brass and bronze fittings had been stolen from an office refrigerator.
A complainant in the 1000 block of California reported at 9 a.m. that the night before someone cut the luggage case on his vehicle and removed a suitcase with clothes valued at $200 and the case valued at $150. He said the vehicle was parked at 9 p.m. and the theft was not located until 8 a.m.
A complainant in the 1200 block of Highway 85 reported at 8:30 a.m. that someone broke into a vending machine causing about $135 damage and taking $65 worth of air fresheners.
A woman in the 500 block of Leroy Place reported at 8:02 p.m. that she was battered by her boyfriend. He was arrested and booked.
An officer responded at 6:30 p.m. to a report about a man for walking through another person’s yard near the corner of Sixth and Otero with a TV. Officer noted the TV had several numbers scratched off. The officer also found the suspect’s jacket on the ground and when picked up a syringe with methamphetamine fell to the ground. The suspect was arrested.
Victim 1 reported at 5:48 p.m. that the suspect was sending threatening text messages to victim 2. The suspect was contacted by phone and admitted to sending the messages and was advised to have no further contact with either victims. Charges were filed.
A complainant in the 1100 block of El Camino Real reported at 6 p.m. that the suspect was told to move out of the home. The suspect was upset and verbally threatened her. The suspect arrived back at the residence. She said she saw the suspect in front of the apartment when she heard a window being broken. The suspect the left scene.
A woman in the 400 block of Terry reported at 10:45 a.m. that her dog was stolen from her home. She stated she saw a male get into a vehicle with her dog. The suspect is unknown at this time.
A complainant reported that a male subject placed items into a tote the ran out of the store without paying for the items. The suspect was unknown at the time of the report.
An officer was called at 5:45 p.m. to a residence on Sixth St. on a report of a loose dog. The officer located the owner who was cited for dog at large.
A man in the 800 block of Franklin reported at 3:30 p.m. that someone entered his carport taking tools while victim was gone for the weekend. Stolen items included a circular saw, a vibrating sander, and assorted wrenches, sockets, and screwdrivers. A backpack and sleeping bag were also stolen.
A complainant reported at 12:56 a.m. that an unknown suspect entered a store in the 700 block of N. Sixth St. and took several laptops.
An officer responded at 11:17 p.m. to a fight in progress at a residence in the 400 block of Blue Canyon. The officer observed that the victim’s face was cut. The suspect, who also had injuries, was found in the backyard and was arrested.
