Socorro municipal election absentee ballot applications are mailed to city voters by request. Call 835-0240 to request an absentee application or stop by City Hall. Absentee applications must be filled out and received at the city clerk’s office, 111 School of Mines Road, by 5 p.m. on Feb. 28. Absentee ballots may be mailed in or delivered in person. All absentee ballots must be received by the city clerk’s office by 7 p.m. on March 4.

Cirque Montage, billed as “a whimsical world of animated characters that defy the perception of what is possible,” will bring its collage of traditional cutting-edge circus acts to New Mexico Tech’s Macey Center in a Performing Arts Series event at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

From the Heart, a special exhibit at the Vertu Fine Art gallery will display pieces familiar area artists have created which have special meaning or significance personally important to themselves.
