Ann Margaret Hunyady (nee Van Asten), a 20-year resident of Socorro, New Mexico, and 9-year resident of Good Samaritan Society Socorro nursing home, left this earth early on New Year’s Day 2019.
Born October 17, 1923, in Rudolph, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of Christian (1893-1976) and Sophia (1892-1981) Van Asten. She was the sister of Joseph (1922-1993), Mary (1925-2006), Agnes (1930-2002) and Jerome (1928-). She married Paul E. Hunyady (1930-1983) in 1950 and bore two sons, Steven (1952-), resident of Socorro, New Mexico, and Paul (1953-), resident of Lynnhaven, Florida. She has one grandson, Christopher (1983-) of Lynnhaven, Florida, and one great-grandson, Ethan (2010-).
She will be interred at St. Philip’s Cemetery in Rudolph, Wisconsin. We thank the incredible people of Good Samaritan Socorro for their love and care, and we thank God for our dear mother. May she rest in peace.
