Carl Raymond Smith, 84, passed away February 21, 2019, in Albuquerque, N.M.
He was born in Gran Quivira, New Mexico, on February 17, 1935. He was a pilot and managed the Socorro Municipal Airport for five years. Carl worked as a heavy equipment operator in Alaska for many years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Ural and Thelma Beaty Smith; siblings, Verna Ruth Little; Earl D. Smith; and sons, Carl E. Smith, Raymond Scott and Franklin Ray Smith.
Carl is survived by his children, Rebecca Morgan, Deanna Bigelow, Michael Fink, and step-daughter, Mary Phillips, siblings; Alice Kintzler, Marvin Smith, Ruby Glasscock and Anne Mcintosh; grandchildren, Matthew, Katrina, Daniel, Keith, Stefani, Kyle, Jennifer, Mikaela, and Scott; step-grandchildren, Skyler and Breanna; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be celebrated in Gran Quivira, New Mexico in May.
