Eva Romero, 83, went to rest in the arms of our Lord on Saturday, October 19, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Socorro on October 25, 1935, to Tom and Romanita (Gonzales) Taylor. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, rides to the Bosque, going to the casino, and listening and dancing to her grandson, Tim A. Silva's Sr. music.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, Guadalupe Romero, her daughter Victoria Romero, her son, Albert (Pee-Wee) Romero and her great-great grandson Je'ziah Montoya.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. Romero and Lisa Montoya, sons, Leroy T. and Michael G. Romero, also Leslie Montoya and Savannah Santiago (whom she raised) and a sister, Mary Romero, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren, family and many friends.

A rosary was recited at 8:30 a.m., on October 30, followed by the Mass of Resurrection at 9 a.m. with Father John Anasiudu at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro.
Pallbearers were Timmy Silva Jr., Leroy Romero Jr., Michael Romero, Alex S. Montoya, Savannah Santiago, and Jonathon Sisneros. Honorary pallbearers are all of her grandchildren.
