Juan Brian Gonzales went to meet his father in heaven on July 3, 2019, a week shy of his 51st birthday.
J. B. tragically lost his life near Belen in a motor vehicle accident. J. B. played golf his freshman year at Highlands University, Las Vegas, New Mexico, later played golf professionally. He was a police officer for the City of Socorro and an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan.
J. B. was preceded in death by his father Max "Rata" Gonzales; his aunt, Dolores A. Ulibarri; and brothers-in-laws James J. Herrera and Dwayne Padilla.
He is survived by his mother, Emena Armijo Gonzales; children, Zarina Lucero-Gonzales and partner, Eddie Garcia, J.B. Lucero-Gonzales Jr. and Gabriel Gonzales; grandchildren Ky’Lea, Austin Ray and Julijah; brothers, George K. Gonzales and Joseph M. Gonzales; sisters, Maxine Bransford (Ben), Bernardette Padilla, and Christy Herrera and partner Larry Chavez; and Goddaughter Mariah A. Herrera, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Per his request there will be no services.
