Richard R. DiBartolome

Richard R. DiBartolomeo, 48, passed away January 17, 2019, in Socorro, N.M.

He was born in New York, N.Y. on April 3, 1970. Richard grew up in Socorro and graduated from Socorro High School. After high school, Richard joined the U.S. Navy Reserves and served his country for eight years. After returning to Socorro, he worked as a car salesman and the last few years as a serviceman for the DISH Network. He was an avid New York Yankees fan. Richard will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Serena and his Aunt Fran Fratello, who was like a mother to him.

Richard is survived by wife of 26 years, Thelma (Lucero) DiBartolomeo; his parents, Patrick and Patricia (Burgess) DiBartolomeo; sons, Jonathon (Lianna Carrillo) DiBartolomeo and Jeremy DiBartolomeo; his brother, David DiBartolomeo; and his grandson, Jerek DiBartolomeo.

A viewing took place from noon to 5 p.m., Jan. 22, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield St, Socorro. A rosary was recited at 10:30 a.m., Jan. 23, at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real , Socorro, with communion services to follow at 11 a.m. Deacon Mike Ybarra officiated. Burial was in San Antonio Cemetery after the service.

Pallbearers were Jerry Gum, John Armijo, Anthony (Beatle) Baca, Lorenzo Pino, Anthony (Bobbo) Baca, Jr, and Tony Pino. Honorary pallbearers are Jonathon DiBartolomeo, Jeremey DiBartolomeo, Jerek DiBartolomeo, Carlos Baca, Savannah Chewiwi, Warren Chewiwi, Eulalio Gonzales, Angelo Santomena Sr, Ed Fratello, Charles Fratello, Dustin Armijo, Raymond Torres Jr, and Raymond Lucero Jr.
