Tom E. Kelly, 93, passed away Thursday February 14, 2019 at his home in Water Canyon with his family by his side.
He was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on October 1, 1925, to Frank and Elizabeth Tinguley Kelly. When Tom was 2 years old, his family moved back to New Mexico to live on the family ranch. His family established the ranch at Water Canyon back in the early 1880s. Tom was drafted in the U.S. Army after graduating Magdalena High School and served in the Philippines. Tom was a rancher and cowboy all of his life. He served a term as Socorro County Commissioner and was a member of the New Mexico Cattle Growers Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Kelly.
Tom is survived by his wife, Hilda Kincaide Kelly; a daughter, Sue Williams and husband, Joseph; and their daughters, Anna Langley and husband, Jim; and Heather Van Husen and husband, Mark; a daughter, Kimberly Gard, and children Kelly and wife, Nicole; Sarah and husband, Jake Osborn; son, Mike and wife, Delrae; sons Bradley and Wesley and his wife, Caitlyn; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services were held at noon on Monday, February 18, 2019, at the Kelly Family Ranch in Water Canyon.
