William Theron “Billy Boston” Dean, resident of Socorro for three years passed away peacefully on March 13, 2019.

He was born on September 26, 1947 in Burlington, Vermont. One of five children of Helen (Holmes) and Burtis Dean.

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1965 and served two years active duty in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service. He moved to Boston, Mass. in 1974 where he started his career in the Rent A Car business. He moved to Albuquerque, N.M. in 1982 where he continued his career at the Rent A Car Company at the Albuquerque International Airport until his retirement in 2013.

His passion in his life was photography and camping in the mountains of New Mexico. There are few people that didn’t get their picture taken by Billy Boston Dean and shared his love while doing it.

He is survived by he brothers Peter Dean and Johnny Dean.

He is predeceased by his parents, sister Catherine Varricchione and brother Wallace Dean.

The family would like to thank and acknowledge friends and people of Socorro who opened their hearts to him, the staff at La Vida Felizidad, staff at Belen Meadows, his physician Jean Ryan and the whole staff at the Presbyterian Hospital.
