Candidates made their way to the Socorro County Courthouse on Tuesday, March 16, to declare their candidacy for six elected positions open in the county.
The Primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 1. Citizens who want to vote in the primary election must register by Tuesday, May 4. Absentee voting will also begin on May 4. Early in-person voting will begin on Monday, May 10, at the Socorro County Courthouse. Candidates who win their party nomination will advance to the general election to be held Tuesday, Nov. 2.
