Tree Dedication Ceremony, 8:30 a.m. Building 128, White Sands Missile Range. A bur oak tree will be dedicated as a memorial to Army Specialist Lori Piestewa.Piestewa, a member of the 507th Maintenance Company from Fort Bliss, was the first American Indian servicewoman killed in action in Operation Iraqi Freedom. This is in observance of Native American Month, sponsored by the White Sands chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers. Environmental Science-Geology Seminar, 4 p.m. MSEC 101. Fraser Goff, of Los Alamos National Lab, will speak on "The South Mountain Lava Dome and Resulting Lake, Valles Caldera, New Mexico."
