Socorro County Kids Fishing Derby, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Escondida Lake. Registration is 8-9 a.m., Derby is 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Age categories: 1-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12 and over (need a fishing license). 11th Annual Spring Daffodil Sale First State Bank, Smith's, Wall-Mart, Wells Fargo Bank and Post Office. Cost is $7 for a bunch of 10 daffodils, or $10 for a bunch of 10 daffodils in a vase. Proceeds go to benefit Hospice patients and their families who cannot afford end-of-life care and equipment.
