5th Annual SocorroFest Historic Plaza. Socorro Fest celebrates the community. There is live music all day, dancing, food vendors, craft vendors, homegrown fruits and vegetables, native food dishes, music, games, Indian Market, Indian dances, and a wine and beer tasting tent. Sevilleta and La Joya National Wildlife Refuge Open House This event is held in northern Socorro County at the fifth largest National Wildlife Refuge in the Continental U.S. There will be tours and speakers. The area supports four major ecosystems and is managed for the natural processes of flood, fire and succession. Kim, 575-864-4021.

"The Mikado," 7 p.m. Cramer 120. The spring musical, set for April 11-13, is "The Mikado." Anyone who is interested in but not familiar with the operetta is invited to the screening. There are nine primary and secondary leads and a large chorus. Audition dte and time will be announced at the screening.
