Car Seat Safety Class, 10 a.m. — Healthy Family Initiative office, 107 Faulkner St. Learn how to properly install and use a child's car seat. Also learn about the requirements for what type and how long a child must be in a car seat. If any participant is in need of a car seat, a $15 payment will be required in either cash or a money order made out to Safer New Mexico Now. These classes are free and open to the public. Meet the Author & Booksigning, 2:15 p.m. — Socorro Publiic Library. Albuquerque author, Earl Harvey will host a book signing of his new book "What Happened To Charlie." The book is a biography of Charles McCarty, a young cowboy who participated in the famous shootout with Elfego Baca in Reserve. According to Harvey, after the event Baca became well known but no one knew what happened to McCarty. Harvey's book tells all. The author is also married to one of McCarty's granddaughters.
