Students along with their friends and families gathered at Sarracino Middle School last Thursday, Oct. 3 to experience hands-on science exhibits and games. Most every department of New Mexico Tech was represented with entertaining yet informative displays, from biology to physics.

“They are a very big part of this every single year,” science teacher Theresa Apodaca said. “Parents really like it. They have a good time.”

She said the event enhances families’ involvement with science and math. As part of the fun, Melissa Jaramillo Fleming donated funds for door prizes which were given out through the evening, and 15 sacks of green chile were donated by Glen Duggins’ Five Star Chile Farm.
