Dear Editor:

Our little town has serious problems, but we also have a wealth of dedicated and unselfish people. Once again, wonderful people have come to my aid.

I cannot go another day without thanking every single person who has helped me with a serious health problem. No need to mention the nature of the illness.

Socorro has an extra-ordinary mayor/MD in Dr. Ravi Bhasker, great EMTs, excellent gas department, fine law enforcement, and a very attentive general hospital.

We are truly blessed to have them! Our other city services are appreciated too. It is a comfort to know we have these very special men and women!

They have invisible little angel wings on their backs. I graciously thank God for these kind people.

“If someone who has worldly means sees a brother in need and refuses him compassion, how can the love of God remain in him? Children, let us love not in word or speech but in deed and truth.” (1 John 3:17-18)

A little act of kindness goes a long way. Big acts of kindness are even more awesome!

The best way to say “Thank you!” is to say that I am forever grateful for the unselfish work you do for us. You act “with compassion” and “in deed”.

Faithfully yours,

Vivian McAlexander
