Elaine Smith 

On March 4th, 2026, our beloved Elaine was called home to be with our Lord.

Elaine, 67, was born on October 9th, 1958, to Juan and "Vivi" Martinez of Socorro, New Mexico. Growing up, Elaine enjoyed watching American Band Stand with her sister Annabelle. Funny story, she liked doing the dishes and would be the first one who would want to do them out of her siblings. Elaine also loved playing jacks, listening to records, doing the hula-hoops, as well as, playing baseball in the empty field with all the neighborhood friends.

Later on in life, Elaine welcomed two beautiful children, Donna and Scott (Daryl). They were both her pride and joy! She loved them dearly! You could always find Elaine telling stories of how proud she was of her children. If it wasn't a story of them, she was telling stories of her two grandchildren, Tommy and Ally.

Elaine was employed with Tripps Jewelers for 15+ years. After, she helped with the local family business, Ross Electric. She loved being out on the water at the Elephant Butte, cooking for her loved ones, dancing in the kitchen, and of course enjoying a cold one. Elaine spent her retirement years with her honey Dwayne. They enjoyed being outside together and just enjoying quality time with one another. One thing she loved was being taught by Dwayne on how to operate heavy equipment.

Elaine is survived by her husband Dwayne, daughter Donna (Sean), son Scott (Perla), grandchildren Tommy and Ally. Siblings, Annabelle, Andy, Linda (Joey), Nancy, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mom Vivi, dad Juan, brother John, and nieces Mercedes and Pamela.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time with family.
