BREAK IN AND STABBING

On Jan. 21, in the area of Manzanares, officers were called to a residence for a break-in and stabbing. According to the report, the officers arrived and met with the victim, who said he was in his home with the female suspect, who was his ex-girlfriend, when the victim heard his front door being kicked open. The victim said he then saw two males come in and attack him. The victim identified one of the male suspects as the father of the female suspect, but he could not identify the other male. The report states that the victim said he was struck with a night stick several times and was able to get the night stick away. The victim said he was stabbed by the male suspect, who was identified as the father of the female suspect. The other suspect also stabbed the victim. The female suspect was holding the victim’s leg down as the two suspects struck and stabbed the victim. The report states the victim was able to fight back and chase the suspects from his home, and the suspects fled in the female suspect’s car. The officers were able to get a license plate from the old reports and obtain an address. Officers checked the home but were not able to locate the suspects. The report states that Rael Ricardo, age 40, of Magdalena, was charged with six counts of aggravated burglary, six counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and six charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

STOLEN VEHICLE FOUND

On Jan. 21, in the area of Grant Street, an officer was patrolling the area and located a vehicle that had been reported stolen. According to the report, officers conducted surveillance of the vehicle and the residence for an extended period of time. The officer watched a female leave the yard on foot and made contact with the individual. The officers read the individual Miranda warnings, and the subject agreed to speak to officers. The female admitted to having possession of the vehicle, and the female, Elizabeth Gonzales, age 44 of Albuquerque, received one charge of receiving or transferring stolen vehicles and was booked in the SCDC. 

ACTIVE WARRANTOn Jan. 22, while on duty at the courthouse on Winkler Road, an officer was advised of a female subject in a courtroom with an active warrant. According to the report, the subject was detained and escorted to a patrol unit where the warrant was confirmed. The subject was then transported to the police department and booked for their warrant.

REPORTED BURGLARY

On Jan. 22, in the area of Western, an officer responded to a reported burglary. According to the report, the reporting party stated a wallet was missing and that someone may have entered through a window, though no suspect was identified. The residence appeared disturbed, but no other items were reported stolen, and no signs of forced entry were observed. 

SHOPLIFTER On Jan. 22, in the area of North California, an officer was dispatched to a local business for a shoplifter. According to the report, the officer saw a video of a male shoplifting items and the store manager wanted the male to be trespassed. 

MALE TRESPASSED

On Jan. 22, in the area of Highway 85, an officer responded to a request for assistance regarding an employee’s concern. According to the report, the reporting party said that a male subject had repeatedly entered the business and made uncomfortable comments to an employee, and provided a business card. The employee requested the male be trespassed from the property. The officer advised an informational report would be completed, and the male would be advised of the trespass if located.

PROPERTY DAMAGE

On Jan 22, in the area of Highway 85, an officer responded to a report of property damage. According to the report, the reporting party stated he observed a broken west-side window. He indicated another individual was rumored to be responsible, but provided no proof and requested only that the individual be trespassed if located. The reporting party declined to file charges.

INFORMATIONAL REPORT

On Jan. 22, in the area of Mariposa Street, an officer responded to a request for an informational report. According to the report, a female reported being followed by the father of her child and described an incident involving a vehicle. She reported no injuries. Video footage of the location did not capture the alleged incident, and the female declined to pursue charges and requested documentation only.

HARASSMENT

On Jan. 22, in the area of Manzanares, an officer responded to a request to speak with a caller at a residence. According to the report, the caller reported harassment and provided a video of an unidentified individual in a vehicle holding a handgun and making a threatening statement. The individual could not be identified, but a report was completed for review and possible further action.

NARCOTICS LOCATED DURING CELL SEARCH 

On Jan. 22, in the area of Grefco Road, an officer responded to the detention center regarding narcotics located during a cell search. According to the report, a crushed blue pull was discovered, secured, and turned over to an officer. The item was transported to the police department and logged into evidence for laboratory testing, and is pending results.

DOG ATTACK

On Jan. 23, in the area of Honey Suckle, an officer was called to assist animal control over a dog attacking a neighbor’s dog. According to the report, the officer was allowed to inspect the suspect’s dog and saw dried blood on the dog. The suspect was advised the dog needed to be quarantined and initially refused, but later allowed the dog to be taken. While the dog was being loaded into the animal control vehicle, the suspects made threats to the owner of the dog. The subjects were advised of a report being filed on the incident. 

ACTIVE WARRANT

On Jan. 23, in the area of California Street, an officer observed a male riding a bike near California and College, who he knew had an active arrest warrant. According to the report, the officer made contact with the male and was able to confirm the warrant. The male was booked into the SCDC without incident.

VEHICLE BURGLARY

On Jan. 23, in the area of Northwest Frontage Road, an officer responded to a report of a vehicle burglary. According to the report, the reporting party stated her vehicle had been rummaged through and that the cash, loose change, and personal property were missing. Officers reviewed security footage and observed a male checking vehicle doors and entering multiple vehicles. Surveillance footage was not immediately obtainable, and a follow-up was advised. 


WARRANT AND POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

On Jan. 23, in the area of West Place, an officer observed a male with an active warrant flee behind a residence. According to the report, the male was located, arrested, and a search during the arrest located fentanyl pills. The male was processed, medically cleared, booked, and the narcotics were logged into evidence. The suspect, Richardo Rael, age 40 of Magdalena, had two active warrants and was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and two counts of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer.

CONCEALING IDENTITY

On Jan. 23, in the area of California Street and McCutcheon Avenue, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operating without headlights. According to the report, a rear-seat passenger without a seatbelt provided false identifying information and was arrested for concealing identity. Active warrants were confirmed, and the individual, Renord Apachito, age 33 of Magdalena, had eight active warrants and was charged with four counts of concealing identity and four counts of improperly worn/unfastened seatbelts. They were transported and booked without incident.

GUN TAKEN

On Jan. 24, in the area of Mineral Way, a victim advised that an unknown suspect took his handgun from his vehicle between Jan. 23 and Jan. 24. According to the report, the victim advised he was in Albuquerque and made two stops. The victim is unsure of when the gun was taken. The victim provided a serial number for the gun, and the handgun was entered into NCIC as stolen. 

ACTIVE WARRANT

On Jan. 24, in the area of Highway 60, an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding and discovered the driver had an active warrant. According to the report, the driver was taken into custody, allowed to arrange care for his children, and the vehicle was released to a family member. The driver was then transported and booked at a detention facility.

VEHICLE DAMAGE

On Jan. 24, in the area of Arroyo Drive, a victim said that an unknown person caused damage to a vehicle. According to the report, the officer looked at the damage and noted the damage was consistent with an animal biting the plastic and damaging the vehicle exterior. It appeared the animal was trying to get under the vehicle and caused damage. The incident was documented.

BREATH TEST CONDUCTED

On Jan. 24, in the area of East Road and Emertech, officers assisted NM Tech Police officers with conducting breath tests on the IR-9000. According to the report, the suspect was advised of the implied consent warning and agreed. The suspect later provided breath samples with results being .14 and .14. The suspect was turned over to NM Tech Police. 


POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

On Jan. 24, in the area of Highway 60, an officer was called to the Socorro General Hospital Emergency Room for dogs being left inside a vehicle. According to the report, while the officer was looking into vehicles to find the dogs, the officer found a male who was asleep at the wheel of the vehicle and had drug paraphernalia in plain view on his lap. The officer made contact with the male and identified him. After running his information through dispatch, he came back with an active warrant for his arrest. The officer placed the male under arrest, and during the search, officers discovered narcotics in his pocket. The male, Samuel Chavez, age 42 of Socorro, was booked at SCDC on six warrants and charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance. 

WARRANT ARREST

On Jan. 24, in the area of California Street, an officer was patrolling when he noticed a man with a possible warrant for his arrest. According to the report, the officer confirmed the warrant through NCIC. The officer met with the male and informed him of having an active warrant for his arrest. The officer placed the male under arrest and transported him to SCDC where he was booked.

ARGUMENT

On Jan. 25, in the area of School of Mines, officers were dispatched to the scene of females arguing. According to the report, the officers arrived and located the females in an argument. As officers approached, they witnessed a female suspect strike the victim. The suspect was detained and later arrested. The victim requested that charges be filed, and the suspect was taken to the police department and found to be a juvenile. The suspect was advised that charges would be filed, and the juvenile was taken home and released to the parent. 

SUSPENDED LICENSE

On Jan. 25, in the area of B Street, an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for improper or defective equipment. According to the report, the officer discovered that the male driver of the vehicle had a revoked driver’s license with a 122G arrest clause. The male, Joey Baca, age 44, of Socorro, was placed under arrest for two charges of no registration and two charges of driving while license was suspended or revoked. Baca was transported to the ER for a medical clearance and then booked into the SCDC on his charges.
