Ocampo, who was backup at New Mexico State last year, threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns. The win equaled the Mustangs’ total victories for all last year. Ocampo’s younger brother is still at New Mexico State. A quarterback for the Warriors, Simon is a linebacker for the Aggies and had quite a bit of playing time against Louisville a week ago. STARTING NEXT TUESDAY, students at Cottonwood Valley Charter School will be attending classes in San Miguel Church’s school building, the former Mr. Carmel School. The temporary relocation is necessitated by the $2 million construction of new classroom buildings. Principal Kim Schaffer said six of the portables the school has been using for classrooms since 2003 will be replaced. Improvements to Cottonwood have been in the works for over two years. After the portables are removed beginning next week, construction of the buildings and landscaping at the site will begin. Work will be completed by the end of the current school year.
