The SMS Braves had a banquet on Thursday, Nov. 13, in the SHS cafeteria. Coaches presented shirts, certificates, mini footballs, and little helmets (just to the 8th graders) to the players in recognition of their hard work this past season.

Current and former Socorroans ran in the Tortugas Mountain 24 Hour Challenge near Las Cruces Nov. 14-15. Runners completed as many 4-mile loops around the mountain as they could within the 24-hour period.

Quemado Lady Eagles versus Melrose on Friday, Nov. 14, at Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho. Melrose won this first contest between the two teams in the tournament, but Quemado beat Melrose the following day to win their second straight Class A State Championship.
