Socorro Mental Health moves to new location
Socorro Mental Health services will move to the Socorro Community Health Center on Enterprise Road, Socorro.
Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) announced the permanent closure of the Socorro Mental Health location on Highway 60 effective October 1.
While the physical site will close, behavioral health services will remain available at the Socorro Community Health Center on Enterprise Road, said the PMS press release.
“We want the community to know that this consolidation is designed to enhance efficiency and streamline services, ensuring that care remains seamless and accessible,” Suzanne Donati, PMS Communication Manager said, “There will be no interruption in patient services, and we continue to welcome new patients.”
She said the staff currently employed at the Socorro Mental Health location will transition to the Socorro Community Health Center.
“We value our team and their relationships with patients, and there are no current plans for layoffs or staffing reductions as part of this transition,” Donati said.
According to Donati, PMS is currently evaluating a range of possibilities for the Socorro Mental Health building and will share updates when plans are confirmed.
“While no final decision has been made, we are considering options that will best serve the community’s needs and support our ongoing mission.” Donati said, “Our commitment to the health and well-being of Socorro residents remains our top priority.”
