1200 block El Camino

An officer called to the 1200 block of El Camino had a good deal of information to deal with after a report of a female suspect knocking on a door and asking for a tissue. The female victim claimed she turned to get the tissue and was pulled from the residence and battered by the female and a male suspect. Later, the victim was questioned about the alleged assault with the male suspect’s brother, who she dates. At that time, the victim denied any knowledge of the incident and declined to press charges against three suspects.

California and Baca

An officer called to the scene on California and Baca Street contacted a suspect who had stopped in the traffic lane. During contact, the officer noted a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the car. The suspect was upset and was asked to exit the vehicle. The suspect exited and was swaying. The officer asked the suspect if he had been drinking; the suspect stated yes. The suspect refused field sobriety tests. The suspect was arrested, and the vehicle was towed. The suspect was advised of the implied consent warning and agreed to the test. The suspect provided breath samples, with results of .22, .25, and .24. The suspect was processed and booked into SCDC. Albuquerque resident Mark Sanchez, 41, was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence BAC.16 or higher; stop, stand parking within an intersection and open container.

The 500 block Spring

The 500 block of Spring Trail was the scene of a reported fight, and an officer responded to the residence. The officer met with a suspect who denied a fight had occurred; however, the alleged victim walked up and advised the suspect had struck her while also accusing her of having an affair with the suspect’s boyfriend. A battery charge was filed against Lolita Apachito, 30.

100 block Grant Street

A vehicle theft was reported in the 100 block of Grant Street after the victim advised his vehicle was stolen from his home. The victim heard a vehicle start on December 8, at around 10 p.m. but did not realize it was his vehicle. The victim advised the reporting officer his home had been broken into several weeks prior, and a set of keys to the vehicle were missing. After signing a theft declaration, the vehicle was entered into NCIC; however, it was removed from NCIC when an assisting officer later located the unoccupied vehicle on Lucero Ave.

Texas Avenue

The report of shots fired in the area of Texas Avenue eventually led officers to a stolen vehicle after they made a check of a vehicle with a suspicious license plate. Officers had met with several subjects outside, and all of them claimed they had not heard any gunshots. After checking a license plate that ended up not matching the vehicle it was displaying, the officers waited for someone to enter the vehicle, but no one did. The officers returned to the residence and took down the vehicle’s VIN number. The vehicle’s information was returned as stolen. The officers contacted the subjects in the home. One male advised he was driving the truck, which he was buying from a male in Belen. The male was detained, and the officer staffed the case with the on-call district attorney. The DA did not authorize arrests since the male did not know the truck was stolen. The officers called for a tow truck and allowed the male to remove his items. The officer found a package that had a different name than the male. The male and an accompanying female did not know the name of the person to whom the package was addressed. The package was seized and logged as safekeeping.

400 block Center Street

The reporting officer found a suspected scam being initiated against the reporting party in the 400 block of Center Street and advised she had been contacted by the border patrol about two packages she was having delivered. The victim told the officer the caller said they were with the border patrol, and they knew the packages contained money and drugs. The caller also claimed to have the victim’s social security. The officer advised the victim the call was a scam as law enforcement would contact her in person.

600 block Franklin

The reporting officer responding to a theft in the 600 block of Franklin Street followed the clues at the scene, which led to the arrest of a suspect for multiple theft-related crimes. The night before making the report, the victim heard a noise outside their residence and went to check but did not notice anyone or notice anything amiss. The following morning, the victim found items thrown around inside a vehicle. He was missing a work badge and coins, and the vehicle’s center console safe was damaged. The officer found a screwdriver and a cell phone, and when the cell phone rang, the officer answered it. The caller was seeking a “Frankie,” which led to the officer checking probation and parole for a “Frankie’s” phone number, which the staff matched to Frank Robert Boucher. Boucher, 30, faces charges of larceny, burglary and criminal damage to property.

900 block Belmont

A victim in the 900 block of Belmont Street reported an unknown suspect entered a vehicle and removed a Taurus 9mm handgun. A neighbor’s video showed a male suspect with a backpack and hoodie headed toward the victim’s home at around 3:30 a.m. the morning of the theft. At this time, the male has not been identified. The victim was unable to provide a serial number for the handgun.

Highway 85

A 70-year-old Datil woman was arrested on Highway 85 after being stopped and found to be without a valid driver’s license. The suspect’s record showed a suspended revoked license arrest pursuant. The officer took the woman into custody and her vehicle was towed from the scene. She faces a charge of driving while her license is suspended or revoked.

400 block West Street

The report of a fight in the 400 block of West Street led to the arrest of a 55-year-old suspect on a drug charge. Officers met with the suspect, who denied being in a fight. When Larry Silva’s name was searched through the NCIC database, it was found that he had warrants for his arrest. After being arrested, Silva was searched, and a small piece of a pill identified as fentanyl was discovered. Silva faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance in addition to facing several warrants for his arrest.

100 block Francisco de Avando

A guardian advised officers in the 100 block of Francisco de Avando that her son was injured at school while playing during recess. The guardian told the officer about another incident in which the same juvenile struck her son.

According to police reports, the guardian contacted the school principal, who advised that the school was short-staffed and had no one during recess. The guardian contacted the school office, which stated they would be investigating.

700 block Lucero

Officers advised a reporting female they would be making more patrols in the 700 block of Lucero Street after she reported a possible case of breaking and entering. The victim reported to officers she believed someone could have been inside her residence. The officers noted her door did not shut correctly, and the female was in the process of repairing the door. The report did not note any missing items.

400 block Center Street

A woman shopping in the 400 block of Center Street returned to her vehicle to find it and her daughter missing. Officers arrived at the Dollar Tree store to find the suspect on foot after she came outside to find her vehicle had been stolen. The victim stated her daughter had been inside the vehicle when she went to do her shopping. The victim provided the officer with all information for the vehicle. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
