SOLAR LIGHT STOLEN
On Aug. 9, in the area of North California Street, a reporting party called dispatch to file a police report about a stolen solar light. According to the report, the officer made contact with the business owner, who advised that the solar light was last seen a few days ago. The reporting party said this was an ongoing problem.
MAN ON BICYCLE HAS WARRANTS AND DRUGS
Officers located a suspect riding a bicycle on Spring Street on Aug. 9. According to the report, the suspect was known to have a valid arrest warrant. The suspect was contacted by the officer and detained. The officer searched the suspect and located methamphetamine and fentanyl pills. The items were logged in evidence, and the suspect, 28-year-old Franscico Deleon of Socorro, was charged with the two warrants and four counts of possession of a controlled substance.
SHOPLIFTER CHARGED
According to a report made on Aug. 10, Vanessa Botello, age 40 of Socorro, was charged with one count of shoplifting and trespassing from a business on North 6th Street.
WOMAN HARASSED BY SON
On Aug. 11, in the area of Highway 60, officers were called to a scene for harassment. A man was seen blocking a second vehicle. According to the report, the officer stopped the suspect as he was trying to leave and the suspect said he was speaking with his mother about borrowing money. The victim said that her son wanted to borrow money to pay a drug debt and wanted the incident documented as harassment. The incident was documented and the parties were separated.
MAN PASSING BY CALLER’S HOUSE
On Aug. 11, in the area of Evergreen Drive, a caller advised that a male was following the caller around town and passing by their residence. According to the report, the caller said she knew the man works at a local store and had video of him passing by her home. The officer was provided the video and attempted to locate the male at the business and a residence, but did not find him.
MAN HITTING DOOR WITH HEDGE CLIPPERS
On Aug. 11 in the area of Central Avenue, an officer was called to a home for an argument. According to the report, the officer met with the witness, who advised that the suspect was upset and hitting the door with hedge clippers. The officer then met with the victim, who said that the suspect was upset because no one would take him to get marijuana. The victim also said the man had the tool in his hand and was yelling at the victim, causing the victim to be in fear of being assaulted. The suspect, Joseph Montoya, age 49 of Socorro, said that he was mad because no one would take him to get marijuana, so he hit the door and the washing machine. Montoya was arrested and booked at SCDC on one charge of domestic violence-assault.
TRESPASSER RESISTS ARREST
On Aug 11, officers were called to the area of Highway 60 for a trespasser on the property. According to the report, the officer arrived and located the male on the property, and gave him commands. The male was not following orders, and when the officer detained the male, he began to resist arrest. The suspect did not provide identifying information, but officers found a female ID. The female was an employee of the assisted living facility and said the man was her boyfriend and that he stays in the parking lot while she works. The officer called the supervisor, who advised that nobody was supposed to be at the facility without a background check. The supervisor said the male should be trespassed, and the supervisor asked the female employee to clock out and leave for the night. The suspect, Sirielle L Ballard, age 33 of Albuquerque, was arrested and booked at SCDC on two charges of criminal trespass and two charges of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer.
TRESPASSING AT WELLNESS CENTER
An officer was called to the area for a possible trespasser on Aug. 12. According to the report, the officer began checking the area and located a screen off a window and smudge marks on the window. The officer located an open door to a laundry room and a door into the kitchen. The officer did not locate any suspects, and the supervisor on shift was notified of the findings.
LOST PURSE
A victim on Aug. 12 called officers and said she lost her purse several days ago. According to the report, she said the purse contained bank checkbooks, a receipt for her cell phone, and the rights from Washington, DC, to a book she wrote. The victim said she was trying to get in touch with the book company, but could not because her phone was missing.
SEWER SNAKE, CAR BATTERY TAKEN
On Aug. 12, in the area of Lucero Avenue, a victim said that a suspect who was recently out of drug rehab was now taking items from the victim and selling those items. According to the report, the suspect took a sewer snake, a car battery, and a crossbow and attempted to pawn the items. The victim was able to recover the crossbow; the item’s value was listed as over $900. The suspect, Karol Walker, age 61 of Socorro, was charged with one count of larceny.
WARRANT ARREST
An officer was contacted on Aug. 13 in the area of California Street by another off-duty officer. According to the report, the officer was aware that the male in question had an active warrant for his arrest. The officer made contact with the individual and arrested him for having an active warrant. The individual was booked at SCDC.
JUVENILE HARASSED
An officer was called to a home for harassment on Aug 13, in the area of Evergreen. The officer met with the juvenile victim and another person. According to the report, the officer was advised that the victim and suspect broke up several weeks ago, and the suspect was continuing to harass the victim. On this day, the victim was driving in town, and when the suspect saw the victim and the suspect threw an ice cream at the victim’s vehicle. The victim was advised to seek a protection order against the suspect.
SUSPECT TRESPASSED FROM STORE
On Aug. 13, in the area of California Street, a victim advised an officer that a suspect came into their business and confronted the victim for closing the business early the day prior. According to the report, the victim said the suspect grabbed him by his shirt and then let him go. The officer met with the suspect, who said that he was trying to return items and was told the business was closed and that the victim said he could close the store whenever he wanted. The suspect said he arrived at the store on the following day to return the items the two engaged in a verbal argument. The suspect said the victim was in his space, so the suspect grabbed the victim by his shirt. The suspect was trespassed from the store.
VEHICLE REPORTED STOLEN
On Aug. 13, a victim in the area of Lemitar Lane said to officers that she had lent his vehicle to the suspect on July 4, 2025 and that the suspect was supposed to return the vehicle and had not. According to the report, the victim said she was unable to get a hold of the suspect, and he was supposed to bring the truck back today, but never showed up. The victim requested that the vehicle be entered in NCIC as stolen. The victim signed a theft declaration, and the vehicle was entered in NCIC as stolen.
VEHICLE RECOVERED
On Aug. 13, a victim in the area of Center Street told officers that he had recently broken up with the suspect, who was refusing to return the vehicle he had lent her. According to the report, the officer tried calling the suspect at the number provided, but the officer did not make contact with the suspect, and the victim was able to recover his vehicle.
MAN FOLLOWING FEMALES
An officer was called to the scene of a male following females on Aug. 13 in the area of 6th Street. According to the report, the officer was meeting with the females when the suspect approached them and the officer advised the suspect to step back. The officer noted that the suspect had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person. The officer had the suspect complete field sobriety tests, and the officer noted several clues. The suspect was arrested, and the vehicle he was in was towed. At the police station, the suspect’s breath test results were .02. The suspect was released with no charges.
INCARCERATED PERSON SERVED WITH WARRANT
According to the report on Aug. 14, an officer served a male who was incarcerated on his warrant.
OFFICERS CALLED TO ASSIST LIVING FACILITY
On Aug. 14, officers were called to the area of the US 60 assisted living facility to file a report. According to the report the officer was advised that the husband of a female patient became upset when his wife bumped him and he spilled his coffee. The husband made a verbal comment and grabbed the female by the arm and sat her down forcefully. The caller advised that the husband will now have to attend counseling and have supervised visits.
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERED
An officer located a suspect driving a vehicle on Aug. 14 in the area of West Place that had been reported stolen. According to the report, the suspect was contacted and placed under arrest. A second suspect in the vehicle was known to have valid arrest warrants. The warrants were confirmed, and the suspect, Tony Silva, age 61 of Socorro, and the passenger were arrested, and Silva was booked on two warrant charges and one charge of receiving, possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
POSSIBLE STABBING
On Aug. 14, in the area of Park Street, officers were called to a home for a possible stabbing. The officer met with a female who advised that she had been stabbed by her boyfriend. According to the report, the officers noted a cut to the female’s arm and called for an ambulance. The officers met with the male, who said that the female exited the home and locked the door as she left. He said the female then broke a window and cut her arm. The officers did locate a broken window with blood on it. The female was then contacted and advised of the information received from the suspect. The female admitted to breaking the window and cutting her arm. No charges were filed.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CHARGES FILED
An officer was called to the scene of a domestic on Aug. 15 in the area of Vista De Socorro. According to the report, the officer met with the victim, who said that the female suspect arrived at his residence and threw their child into a crib, and began hitting the victim on the head and face. The officer noticed a broken TV, and the victim said the TV was broken when the suspect punched it. The TV was valued at $300. The victim also said that his child was in the crib and witnessed the incident. The suspect left and made a threat to the victim’s mother, who was sitting in her car outside. The District Attorney approved charges on the suspect, Stephanie Lopez-Mull, age 22 of Socorro, for two counts of battery against a household member and two counts of criminal damage to property of a household member, and deprivation of property of a household member.
TRESPASSING SUSPECT ARRESTED
On Aug. 16, in the area of El Camino Real, an officer was called to a scene for a suspect who was trespassing on the property. According to the report, the officer met with the suspect, who was trespassed and charged earlier in the week. The suspect, Katrina Melendrez, age 33 of Socorro, said to the officer she was returning to the property so she could go to jail. The suspect was arrested and booked at SCDC on one charge of criminal trespass.
WINDOW BROKEN AT RENTAL HOME
On Aug. 15, in the area of Terry Street, a victim advised that an unknown suspect broke a window on a rental home. According to the report, no entry was made into the home, and no items were taken. Estimated damage to the window was $150.
MAN FOUND DECEASED
Officers arrived at a home in the area of El Camino Real on Aug.15, for a male being found deceased in the yard. According to the report, the officer was told that the deceased male was found after the callers had arrived home after being gone for a few days. The male appeared to have been on the property for a few days. The officer did not observe any injuries to the deceased. OMI was called and took possession of the deceased. The wallet of the deceased was found with money and other items. The victim was taken from the property and is pending an autopsy, said reports.
SEXUAL ASSAULT
Officers were called to the area of Hilltop on Aug. 16 for a report of a caller’s teen daughter who had just arrived home and had been sexually assaulted. According to the report, the officer met with the victim to obtain a statement. The victim was not able to provide any details other than that she woke up near Francisco de Avonda in the playground, behind the fire station, and that she felt discomfort in her groin area. The officer was able to set up a SANE exam in Albuquerque.
PROPERTY DISPUTE
Officers were called to a home for a property dispute. The officer met with a male victim, who, according to the report, said that he was kicked by the female suspect. The officer met with the female suspect, Kathleen Marie Brown, age 20, of Socorro, who said she did kick the victim in the leg for making rude comments to her. Brown was arrested and booked at SCDC on one charge of domestic violence.

FEMALE FOUND DECEASED
Officers were called to a home on Aug. 17 for a female found not breathing. According to the report, the officers arrived and were escorted to the female. The husband was with the deceased female, and the female was not breathing and did not have a pulse. OMI was called and provided an official time of passing. The female was taken to a local funeral home pending an official cause of death.
DOG ATTACK
Officers were called to the scene of a dog attack on Tierra Bonita on Aug. 17. According to the report, the officers met with the victim, who said he was outside when the neighbor’s dog broke through the fence and attacked the victim’s dog. The victim said that as they were trying to separate the dogs, the victim was bitten several times on the arm. The officer saw the suspect’s dog with its head through the hole in the fence. The officer assisted the victim in fixing the fence and noted the dog to be very aggressive. The victim initially declined to go to the hospital but later went for treatment. Animal control was notified of the incident, and Reyna Alvarado, age 20 of Socorro, was charged with one count of confinement of vicious domestic animals.
DOG BITE
A victim advised that she was walking past a home with an open gate when a dog came out of the gate and bit the victim on the arm on Aug. 17 in the area of Grant. According to the report, the officer was provided with information about the area where the incident occurred and showed the victim a map of the area. The victim identified a residence, and the officer went to the area and was able to locate the dog and owner. The owner said their dog bit the victim. The owner was cited, and the dog did have current vaccination records.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
An officer was called to a scene on Aug. 17 in the area of Monte Vista Drive for a suspect trying to run over a victim and pulling out a handgun. According to the report, the victim said they had an argument with the suspect in the victim’s driveway. The victim did strike the suspect with a fist. The suspect then attempted to run over the victim with a vehicle and then pointed a handgun at the victim. The suspect went to his residence, and the suspect’s girlfriend exited the home and began yelling at the victim while waving a handgun in the air. The officers obtained a search warrant and searched the home; the suspects were arrested. The officer located a handgun hidden in the clothes dryer. The suspect, Atheena Watson, age 36, of Los Lunas, was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated assault.
THEFT OF A BACKPACK
On Aug. 18, in the area of Bullock Street, the officers were called to a store for a suspect taking a backpack. According to the report, the officer met with the victim, who said he had left the backpack by the register while he was shopping, and after checking out, the backpack was missing. The victim provided officers with the GPS location for a computer that was in the backpack. An officer went to the area and checked a home the items were not located there. The officer spoke to a male who was in possession of a computer, and the man said he was given the computer but wouldn’t say who gave it to him. The suspect was detained. The officer then returned to the store and obtained a video of the theft. He was able to identify a female suspect who took the backpack, and the male suspect was released. Felicia Savedra, age 37, of San Antonio, was charged with two counts of larceny and two counts of disposing of stolen property.
THEFT AT SOCORRO ELECTRIC CO-OP
On Aug. 18 at the Socorro Co-Op, officers were called for a theft. According to the report, officers met with the victim, who said he left his work tools in the work truck, and the tools were taken along with tools that belonged to the electric company. The victim said he would provide a list of the stolen items. A staff member at the electric company said there is a video camera at the business, and they would access it and provide footage to ID a suspect.
CAN THROWN AT VICTIM
On Aug. 18, in the area of Center Street, a victim said that a suspect was following and harassing the victim throughout the city. According to the report, the victim said the suspect had followed them around town and even thrown a soda can at the victim in the plaza. The victim said that this was an ongoing incident with the suspect. When the officer contacted the suspect and said to the suspect to avoid contact with the victim, the suspect said she understood and explained she had been behind the victim at the school, and again, while headed to another school, and said the incident was not intentional.
WINDOW BROKEN AT BUSINESS
On Aug. 18, near California Street, an officer met with a caller who said that unknown suspects had damaged the window with an object. According to the report, the estimated damage was $700. The caller advised that homeless subjects had been caught sleeping on the property and were told to leave. There are no suspects at this time.
BROKEN WINDOW
On Aug. 18, officers were called to a business near Manzanarez for a damaged window. The officer met with a staff member who said that the window had been damaged overnight. According to the report, the estimated damage was $500 to $1000. The security cameras did not capture the person damaging the window, and there are no suspects at this time.
CHILD TESTS POSITIVE FOR FENTANYL
An officer was called on Aug. 19 to the Socorro General Hospital for a child being born and testing positive for fentanyl. According to the report, the officer met with staff advised that a SCI report had already been made with CYFD, and no response was received. A second report was made, and still no response. The staff said they called the police and provided documentation, and the drug test. The officer then signed over custody of the child to CYFD staff and provided the documentation and drug test results. The parents were then notified of the decision to take custody of the child due to the positive test results.
SUSPECT PUNCHES WINDOW
On Aug. 20, a victim in the area of Spring Street advised that the suspect was arguing with another person in another apartment. According to the report, the victim said the suspect punched a window, causing damage and injury to herself. The suspect, Vanessa Emord, age 31 of Socorro, admitted to damaging the window and was trespassed from the apartment, taken to the hospital for treatment, and charged with one count of criminal damage to property.
VEHICLE WINDOWS BROKEN WITH TUNA CAN
A victim on Aug. 20 in the area of Central Street advised that he and the victim had been arguing all day. According to the report, the victim said the suspect broke the victim’s vehicle windows with a tuna can and then fled on foot. The officer did observe damage to the vehicle, and charges were filed on the suspect. Sabrina Mexicano, age 39, of Canoncito, was charged with one count of criminal damage to property of a household member, deprivation of property of a household member.
INTOXICATED MAN ARRESTED FOR WARRANT
An officer was called on Aug. 21 to the area of the Plaza to remove an intoxicated male. According to the report, the officer contacted the male and obtained his ID. The NCIC check showed the suspect had a valid arrest warrant, so the suspect was arrested and booked at SCDC.
NARCOTICS INVOLVED CAR ACCIDENT
On Aug. 22, in the area of Eaton Garfield, officers were dispatched to the scene of a crash. According to the report, officers arrived and located a vehicle that had crashed into a parked vehicle. The officers then contacted the driver of the vehicle, but the driver was not responsive. The officers administered a dose of NARCAN and gave the driver CPR. The EMS arrived and gave another dose of NARCAN, which woke the driver up, and they were then transported to the hospital. The officer then met with the owner of the second vehicle, a male who said he heard a crash and came out to check on the driver and found the driver unresponsive. A witness had seen the driver hitting curbs when travelling east and then crossing the road, running a stop sign, and striking the parked vehicle. The witness ran towards the crash and noticed the driver was not responding. The witness removed the keys. The officers completed a tow of the truck and found three baggies of a white powder. Those items were collected for evidence. The officers then met with the driver, who said he had used cocaine for a long time but believed the cocaine he had used was laced with fentanyl. The driver was left in the care of Socorro General Hospital, and charges were approved for Walter Peralta, age 59 of Socorro, for three charges of driving under the influence, three charges of possession of a controlled substance and three charges of one way traffic only.
JUVENILE SUSPECTS HAVE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
A victim on Aug. 23 in the area of Calle Linda advised that she was confronted by a juvenile suspect who had a firearm. According to the report, the victim said the gun was not pointed at her, but she did see it. The officers were able to locate the suspect after they fled on foot. The officers were able to locate and detain several suspects. The suspects did not have a gun, but one suspect was in possession of a backpack that contained an alcoholic beverage. The suspects had an odor of alcoholic beverages on their breath and were turned over to their parents.
RESISTING AN OFFICER
On Aug. 23, near Alice Road, officers were advised of a male acting out and being verbally loud and abusive to others. According to the report, the male was removed from several locations. The officers later attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver failed to stop and continued driving to an address. The officer followed the suspect with lights and sirens while giving commands over a loudspeaker. The suspect finally came to a stop and exited on the passenger side of the vehicle, and fled on foot. The officer attempted to detain the suspect, and the suspect grabbed and held onto a fence post, causing the officer to have to use force to attempt the arrest. The suspect fled once again and was taken to the ground, where distraction strikes were used to restrain the suspect. The suspect, Mario Louis Telles, age 42, of Socorro, was seen by EMS at the scene and then taken to Socorro General Hospital for medical clearance before being booked at SCDC on two charges of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer.
SHOPLIFTER
On Aug. 24, near NM Highway 1, an officer was dispatched to a local business for a shoplifter. According to the report, officers met with the manager, who said a male had entered and placed merchandise under his shirt and then walked out of the business. Officers were given the plate number for the vehicle, which led to a traffic stop where the male suspect, Matthew Thomas, age 41, of Socorro, was charged with two counts of shoplifting and two counts of criminal trespass. Thomas was charged and trespassed from the business.
UNRESPONSIVE JUVENILE
On Aug. 24, in the area of El Camino, officers were called to a scene of a juvenile being unresponsive. According to the report, the officer told the juvenile he was being taken to the hospital by ambulance. The officer met with the guardian and another family member. The female guardian said the juvenile went to a friend’s home and later returned and was in the bathroom for about 2 hours. The male family member then opened the door and found the juvenile unresponsive. An ambulance was called, and the ambulance staff advised the juvenile had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on their person. The juvenile was unable to answer any questions due to being unresponsive.
WINDOW BROKEN WITH ROCK
A victim in the area of North 6th Street on Aug. 25 told officers of a known suspect damaging her window. According to the report, the officers did observe the damaged window with a rock nearby that could have been used to cause damage. There were no cameras in the area to show a suspect, so at this time, no suspects are listed. The damage was estimated at $250.
WARRANT ARREST
An officer was provided with an arrest warrant for a female suspect and a location where she could be found. According to the report, the officer went to the address and contacted the suspect, the suspect was then arrested and booked at SCDC.
BICYCLE STOLEN
A victim in the area of Nicholas Avenue on Aug. 25 advised that a burgundy Next bicycle valued at $100 was taken from his carport on Aug. 8, 2025. According to the report, the victim said he located the bicycle at a local pawn shop, but does not have the serial number, so he is unable to retrieve it.
MISSING FEMALE FOUND
An officer on patrol located a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle involved in a missing persons report in the area of Gwendolyn Court on Aug. 25. According to the report, the officer was able to locate the vehicle at a residence in the area and made contact with an adult male. The male said the missing female was staying at the home and had her father’s permission. The officer then met with the female juvenile and confirmed she was listed as missing in the NCIC. The female was taken to the police department and said to the officer that there was abuse at home. The officer called CYFD and had staff meet with the female juvenile. CYFD staff said the father was cleared to pick up the child and the father later picked up the child.
BROKEN WINDOW
On Aug. 25, in the area of Mineral Way, a victim advised that they had a window broken in their residence. According to the report, the victim said a rock was possibly used to damage the window. The victim said that she saw three juveniles in the area near the window that was damaged. The victim drove to where the juveniles were located and was able to capture video of the juveniles. The window damage was estimated at $500.
SUICIDAL TEEN
On Aug. 25 at Socorro High School, an officer was called for a student having suicidal thoughts. According to the report, the officer met with the principal and the student, and the principal advised that the student was texting the suicide hotline using another name. The student said he wanted to cause grave harm to himself with a firearm. The parents were notified, and the student was taken to Socorro General Hospital for evaluation.
MAN THREATENS DRIVE BY
On Aug. 26, in the area of Manzanares, a suspect called the office for information on billing. According to the report, the suspect became upset with the victim and made a comment that he would do a “drive-by” of the business. The victim reported that the suspect is a monthly customer who comes to the business to pay his bill. The caller and other staff requested that the male be trespassed from the business. An officer is attempting to make contact with the suspect.
WALMART TRESPASSER
On Aug. 26, an officer was called to Walmart for a female trespasser. According to the report, the trespasser was in the store’s bathroom. The office met with staff who advised that the suspect had been previously trespassed and was still in the bathroom. The officer contacted the suspect in the bathroom, and the suspect was detained and escorted outside. The officer was provided with the document showing the suspect had been trespassed, and the suspect was issued a non-traffic citation for trespassing and released.
NO INSURANCE OR REGISTRATION
Officers witnessed a suspect commit a traffic violation on Aug. 26 on West Place and Neel. According to the report, the suspect, when stopped, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and no insurance or registration. The suspect was cited, and the vehicle was towed.
MISSING VAN
A victim advised officers on Aug. 27 in the area of Neel Street that he woke up and noticed his Ford van was missing. The victim advised that the van was last seen at 10 p.m. the previous night. The victim provided a license plate number for the van and signed a theft declaration. According to the report, an officer on patrol located the van parked in the apartment complex. The van had the door lock punched out to gain access, and the ignition was also punched out to start the vehicle. The apartment complex manager was contacted and asked about cameras in the area. The manager said there were no cameras. The victim was contacted and asked if any other items were missing. The victim said he did not notice any missing items. The vehicle was returned to the victim, and at this time, there are no suspects.
MAN SHOPLIFTING DRINKS IN BATHROOM
Officers were called to a store Aug. 27 in the area of US Highway 85. According to the report, the officer arrived and was told the suspect was still in the bathroom and had brought a case of drinks there. The suspect was contacted and detained, then escorted outside where he said he did take the drinks and put them in his backpack. The caller said the suspect was previously trespassed. The suspect, Tedmund Apachito, age 33 of Magdalena was cited for two offenses of shoplifting and two offenses of criminal trespass and then released.
TRESPASSING
Officers were called to a scene of a suspect trespassing on property near El Camino on Aug. 27. According to the report, the officer located the suspect walking away from the scene. When the suspect was contacted and asked why she returned to the property the suspect said she wanted to be in jail. The suspect, Katrina Melendrez, age 33 of Socorro was arrested for one count of criminal trespass and booked at SCDC.
FACEBOOK THREATS
A victim said he was receiving threats from a suspect through Facebook messenger on Aug. 28 in Socorro. According to the report the victim said he does not live in Socorro but does visit, the victim did request the incident be documented due to the threats of violence.
INAPPROPRIATE COMMENTS
A caller on Aug, 25 said she had a male work for her a few years ago but the male began making inappropriate comments towards her so she told the male he could no longer come to the property. According to the report, the caller said the male had recently sent a letter to the caller and she believed he was trying to reconnect with her and was afraid he would make more inappropriate comments or act on them. The caller was told to obtain a protection order if needed.
RUDE COMMENTS AT THRIFT STORE
Officer met with a caller in the area of California Street on Aug. 28 said that a second female came into the thrift store and confronted the caller. According to the report, the caller made rude comments to the female caller. The caller left the store and the second female followed and pushed and slapped the caller. The caller said she did punch the female. The officer spoke with the second female the following day who said she spoke with the caller in the store and the two argued and went outside where the female said the caller struck her so she hit her back. Another employee told the female to leave, the officer documented the incident.
MEN FIGHTING
An officer was dispatched to a fight in progress on Aug. 28 in the area of Lucero. According to the report the officer pulled the male suspect away who would not stop fighting. The male victim had a laceration on his face and was treated by EMT. The male suspect, Roger Jessen, age 37 of Socorro was charged with one count of battery, arrested and incarcerated at SCDC.
LOITERING
An officer was dispatched to a local business on Highway 85 on Aug, 29 for a male who was on the sidewalk in front of a business. According to the report the business owner said he did not want the male loitering in front of his business. The male was removed from the area and the officer spoke with the male who said he had been threatened by the business owner.
INTOXICATED MALE
Officers were called to a scene for an intoxicated male being verbally abusive on Aug. 29 in the area of Center Street. According to the report the officer arrived and met with the father of the suspect and the suspect was yelling and being disruptive. The suspect was detained by officers and sat in the patrol car. The officer later removed the suspect and the suspect again began being abusive and loud. The suspect, Carlos Savedra, age 18 was charged with disorderly conduct and arrested and booked and SCDC.
STOLEN MOTOR VEHICLE
Officers were dispatched for a stolen motor vehicle on Aug. 29 in the area of Evergreen. According to the report, officer met with a female who said they had a vehicle stolen from their construction lot. The female said she used the tracking system on the vehicle to locate it. The female said there was a flat bed missing from the vehicle and several other items. The vehicle was towed by the owner. The officer spoke with the home owner and said the vehicle had been at his residence the night before. The owner said there was a few people staying in his garage, the officer checked the garage and nobody was inside.
ENTRY FORCED INTO HOME
A victim on Aug. 29 in the area of McCutcheon said an unknown suspect forced entry into the garage of their home. According to the report the victim advised nothing appeared to be missing. At this time there are no suspects.
VEHICLE STOLEN FROM NM TECH CAMPUS POLICE
On Aug. 29 near Tractor Supply officers completed a NCIC check on a vehicle plate. According to the report the vehicle returned as stolen from NM Tech Campus Police. The officer located the male suspect and the suspect was detained. The suspect advised he borrowed the vehicle from a friend and named the friend. The officer inspected the vehicle and found the ignition to be damaged as well as the door lock. The suspect, Tyrell Davis, age 34, of Magdalena was charged with receiving, possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
MAN THREATENS TO STAB GIRLFRIEND
Officers were called to the area of Bullock Street on Aug. 30 for a suspect who was arguing with his girlfriend and later threatened to stab the victim’s neighbor as the suspect was leaving the apartment. According to the report, the suspect fled on foot and was later located in a park. The suspect was detained and found in possession of knives. The suspect later said he did argue with his girlfriend and threaten the victim because the suspect’s girlfriend talks to the victim about their problems. The suspect, Gabino Crucito Salas, age 20 of Socorro, was arrested and later booked at the SCDC on one charge of aggravated battery.
MALE TOUCHING FEMALES INAPPROPRIATELY
Officers working a special event at the Socorro Sports Complex on Aug. 30 were notified of a man touching females inappropriately. According to the report, the male was contacted and found to be intoxicated. A NCIC check showed the suspect was on probation and should not be out of Bernalillo county. The officers contacted his probation officer and said to have the male check in on Tuesday and asked the officers to document the incident.
SHOPLIFTING
Officers were called to a store on 6th street on Aug. 31 for a female suspect eating food and not paying for the food. According to the report the suspect was contacted and detained. The suspect said she ate two ice creams and did not pay for them. The suspect, Kathy Jo Atwell, age 71 of Socorro was charged with two counts of shoplifting and two counts of criminal trespass.
