BURGLARY – Brandon Lee Monte, 20, of Socorro, was charged with two counts of burglary and larceny after an incident at 4 p.m., September 1. Monte was seen walking out of a victim’s home with a TV. The officer recovered the TV, but the victim wanted charges filed.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY – Charges were pending against Julian D. Flores, 36, of Socorro, for criminal damage to property of the household member; deprivation of property of a household member and domestic violence-assault after an incident reported at 5:23 p.m. on September 1 at a residence on Sierra Bonita Street. Later in the day, Flores was found and charged with additional crimes including two counts of criminal damage to the property of household members and deprivation of property of a household member and two counts of resisting, evading and obstructing an officer. He was taken to Socorro County Detention Center.

CRIMINAL TRESSPASS – Stephanie Lynn Grove, 52, homeless, was charged with criminal trespass, not posted, after officers were called to Walmart where she was brandishing a knife at employees on September 2.

BATTERY – Jason Maldonado, 41, of Albuquerque, was arrested on several outstanding warrants, battery charges in addition to resisting, evading or obstructing an officer after an incident 10:43 p.m. on September 2. Officers were called to 1002 North California Street where an argument was taking place involving a firearm. The officer arrived and saw a male victim holding the suspect’s arms. The male victim told officers Maldonado attacked him and several others. Maldonado was arrested and taken to the Socorro County Detention Center.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS – Leroy Gallegos, 35, of Socorro was charged with criminal trespass, not posted, at 10:59 a.m. on September 3, at 312 N. California Street.

POSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – Tricia Charlene Bailey, 52, of Socorro, was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance after a traffic stop at the corner of Spring Street and Center, at 11:14 p.m. on September 4. The officer located a crystal substance and a blue pill under the driver’s seat. She was arrested and booked in the Socorro County Detention Center. The drugs were logged as evidence and sent to a lab for testing.

SHOPLIFTING – Two individuals were cited for shoplifting at John Brooks on September 4. One individual had an outstanding warrant and the other cited for shoplifting.

FIGHT – An officer was called to assist with an investigation at New Mexico Tech at noon on September 4. The officer was advised of a fight that occurred on campus involving juveniles who shared an explicit video of other juveniles fighting. The officer was advised that the video was shared on social media. The case was later turned over to the Socorro County Sheriff’s Office, who already was investigating the case.

CARELESS DRIVING – Bingham F. Bright, 47, of Albuquerque, crashed his vehicle on a property located at 1010 Spring Street at 4:32 p.m. on September 4. He was charged with two counts of careless driving and driving while under the influence. Bright was arrested and taken to the Socorro County Detention Center. His vehicle was towed, and a dog was taken to the local animal shelter.

BREAKING AND ENTERING – Raymond Pino, 43, of Socorro, was charged with two counts each of breaking and entering, criminal trespass not posted and an outstanding warrant after an incident on September 5 at 305 Abeyta. He was removed from the property taken to the Socorro County Detention Center.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT – The day after being released from the Socorro County Detention Center, Bingham F. Bright, 46 of Albuquerque, was charged with eight counts of attempt to committee breaking and entering, criminal trespass/not posted, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property, after an incident at Head Start at 11:30 a.m., September 5, where he was attempting to force entry into the school. He was arrested and taken to the Socorro County Detention Center.

AGGRAVATED DRIVING – Kathy Jo Atwell, 70 of Datil, was arrested by Socorro Police during a routine traffic stop at 8:22 p.m. on September 5, on Church Street. She was charged with eight counts each of aggravated driving while under the influence, headlight required, an outstanding warranty, no diver license, stop and turn signals required and an improperly worn and unfastened seatbelt.

STOLEN FIREWOOD – A resident on Highway 60 reported on September 6, that over the past five years, an unknown suspect has been taking firewood from the victim’s pile of firewood. The victim has not seen anyone taking the firewood but listed a person of interest.

STOLEN LICENSE PLATE – A resident located at 822 California Street reported a missing license plate from their vehicle. A theft declaration was signed for the stolen license place and the past was entered into NCIC on September 6

LARCENY – Kendra Jojola, 41, was charged with larceny after she was seen on video at Walmart taking a cell phone on September 7. The phone was recovered and returned to Walmart. The officer is filing charges on the suspect. The phone was valued at $579.

MEDICARE SCAM – A resident in the 1700 block of El Camino Real was scammed after receiving a phone call advising they were from Medicare, and he gave them his card information. He called the police, when he noticed the call was from Questa, N.M.

AGGRAVATED DRIVING – Jerome D. Arellano, 43, of Espanola, was charged with aggravated driving while under the influence of a blood alcohol level of .16 or higher. Police were called to 318 S. California Street where they found Arellano knocking on windows of businesses asking for alcoholic beverages. The officer was aware of the individual over the last two days with each incident involving alcohol. The officer was able to locate the suspect leaving the liquor store. Arellano was arrested and taken to the Socorro County Detention Center.
