WINDOWS BROKEN – A resident at 703 Lucero reported to police on August 1, a car window and a window at their home were broken. Police attempted to locate the suspect.

WINDOW BROKEN – Socorro Electric Co-op reported a window was broken at their place of business on August 1. There were no cameras located on the building nor were there any suspects.

WORK WAGON STOLEN – A resident at 1101 Sean Street reported an oversized work wagon was stolen from his property on August 1. The value of the wagon is $230. The reporting property advised the officer the last time he saw the wagon was two days prior. He also told officers that he believes the wagon was stolen sometime during the night because he has dogs in his yard during daytime hours.

ILLEGAL WATER CONNECTION – Tracy L. Fowler, 44, of Socorro, was charged on August 1 for making an illegal water connection to city utilities. The city removed a water meter. According to the report, Fawler has been disconnected from city utilities several times.

BREAKING AND ENTERING – Zachery Lee Owen, 19, of Socorro, was arrested on two counts of breaking and entering and criminal trespass/not posted at 6:25 p.m., on August 1, at 342 6th Street. Officers were made aware someone had been sleeping at the location without permission and had damaged the property. Owen was arrested and taken to the Socorro County Detention Center.

SHOPLIFTING – Spencer Foss, 33, of Socorro, was charged with shoplifting on August 2. Upon arrival at 902 N. California, the store’s owner told police a male had placed an impact set valued at $76 in his pants.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – Lilith Stoker, 18, of 1849 Chaparral Place, was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), concealing her identity and an outstanding warrant after an incident at 11:47 a.m., August 2, on the corner of Spring and California Streets in Socorro. Officers were called the scene originally for a report of a male chasing a female.

HARASSMENT – Angel Anaya, 27, of Socorro, was charged with two counts of violation of order of protection and harassment during an incident at 3:30 p.m. on August 2. The victim told police Anaya was violating the order of protection by calling and texting the victim. The victim showed officers call and text records on his phone.

FIGHT – Police were called to fight at 803 Spring Street, August 3, where a female reported another female hit her with a cane. No charges were filed.

STOLEN VEHICLE – Resident at 901 Walkway, Apt. A8, reported a stolen vehicle. The victim told police she lent her car to a suspect and advised him to return it by noon on August 3. When the victim arrived home in the evening, she noticed her vehicle was still gone. She filed a stolen vehicle report with the police.

DOMESTIC BATTERY – Marvin D. Monte, 48, of Magdalena, was charged with domestic violence battery after an incident at 803 Spring Street No. 7, at 7:38 p.m. on April 3.

BURGLARY – A resident at 907 Spring Street reported to police at 1:45 p.m., August 4, that someone broke into their residence and stole her prescription drug medication. The victim stated her daughter, who was home at the time, noticed somebody running out of the residence and leaving on a bike. The daughter was unable to provide a description.

CUPS STOLEN – An employee at Sarracino Middle School reported a suspect took cups from school without permission at 4:45 p.m. on August 5. The caller advised the suspect to replace the cups. The caller asked that the incident be documented with no charges filed.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – Spener Foss, 33, of Socorro, was charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance after an incident reported on August 6. Police were called to 1014 N. California Street about a male suspect sleeping on the property and using drugs. Upon arrival, police saw Foss insert a metal tub in his mouth used to smoke narcotics. The office inspected one foil that contained a crystal substance and other partially smoked blue pill. He was arrested and taken to the Socorro County Detention Center.

LARCENY – Salena L. Chavez, 26, of Socorro, was charged with larceny on August 6, after allegedly stealing a tip jar from a business located at 202 N. California. The victim showed police a video of the suspect taking the money.

FALLEN UTILITY POLE – A resident at 110 Willow Street called police to report a utility pole fell on a building and the car inside causing damage on August 6.

THREATS – Police removed a male making threats at Dollar Tree at 12:23 p.m. on August 7.

HARASSMENT – Angel Anaya, 27, of Socorro, was charged with two counts of violation of order of protection and harassment following an incident reported on August 7. An officer met with a male who advised officer he has an order of protection against his child’s mother and provided police with the documentation. While speaking with the officer, Anaya, called the victim three times.

PROPERTY DAMAGE – A resident at 611 Delores reported property damage to the trailer they are renting on August 7. The reporting party stated he had come home and found that the window next to the front door had been cracked and the screen to the window was cut. The reporting party stated he needed a police report as he is renting the trailer.

LARCENY – Leondra Deleon Pargas, 26, of Socorro, was charged with larceny after a report was made on August 7 of stealing jars filled with coins from a resident at 1108 Cuba Road and trying to cash the coins in at Walmart.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY – Claudia Maldonado, 52, of Socorro was arrested for aggravated battery (injury) after an incident reported on August 8 at 311 Hilltop. According to the report, an officer contacted the female suspect who stated she and her brother were arguing over a water meter. During the argument, the suspect’s brother called his girlfriend to fight the suspect. The female victim arrived and observed the suspect holding a rock, so she picked up a rock and threw it at the suspect. The suspect’s brother stepped in to prevent the fight when the suspect hit him in the face with a large rock.

CAR WINDOW DAMAGED – A resident at 102 Winkler, reported to police at 10 a.m. on August 8, the rear window on her vehicle was damaged. The caller advised a city crew was cutting weeds in the area and may have damaged the car window. City hall was contacted, and a supervisor advised one of the crew members did break the window. The victim was advised to file an insurance claim with the city.

WARRANT – Neswood Adam Baca, 28, of Socorro, was arrested on an outstanding warrant and possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl) during an incident at 8:20 p.m. on August 8, at West Place. He was arrested and booked into the Socorro County Detention Center.
