BURGLARY, LARCENY
Falicia N Savedra, age 37, of Socorro, was charged with 8 charges of burglary and 8 charges of larceny from an event on July 22 at 302 Otero. No other details were given at this time.
SEVERAL WARRANT ARRESTS
On July 22, suspects with valid arrest warrants were confirmed, and suspects were arrested and booked into SCDC. The locations of the warrant arrests were Sierra Bonita and Ditch Bank, 207 B Street, Bagley, and 6th Street.
GUN FOUND IN HOTEL ROOM
A caller on July 22 notified officers that she was a manager at a motel at 1100 N California, and cleaning staff discovered a firearm in the motel room under a mattress. The gun was taken by officers for safekeeping, and the caller was not able to provide a name for the people who had previously stayed in the room.
WARRANT ARREST FROM TRAFFIC STOP
A suspect was contacted on a traffic stop on July 23 in the area of 5th St. The NCIC check showed that the suspect had a valid arrest warrant. The suspect was arrested and booked at SCDC, and the vehicle was released to the passenger.
FIGHT AT STORE
On July 23, at 312 N California St, an officer was called to the scene of a fight. The officer saw a vehicle leaving the area and stopped the vehicle. The female suspect was the mother of the other two female suspects. The mother advised that she was in a group chat with her daughters, and they said they were going to the store. The mother was released. The officer met with the victim, who advised officers she was working when she was attacked and punched by the two female suspects, and a third female suspect came in and also pulled the victim’s hair. The victim was able to identify all three suspects by name. The officer was provided with a video of the incident. The video showed the two female suspects enter and then attack and punch the victim; the third suspect was the mother of the two daughters who had been in the traffic stop. She pulls the victim’s hair and then releases it. The mother and daughter suspects called to speak with the officer, they advised they were now receiving threats from the victim’s daughter. The officer advised the suspects that they were being charged and the officer would document the threats against them. The mother, Theresa A Rosales, age 47 of Socorro, was charged with two counts of battery. One daughter, Shaianne F. Rosales, age 23 of Socorro, was charged with two counts of battery, and the other daughter, Savannah A Rivera, age 27 of Socorro, was charged with four counts of battery.
GLASS DOOR BROKEN WITH ROCK
A victim on 1107 California St. advised that an unknown suspect broke a glass door with a rock on July 23. The victim advised that the camera system was not working at the time of the incident. Estimated damages were $500.
MEDICATION STOLEN
An officer was called to a scene at 511 Park St on July 23 in reference to medication being stolen. The officer arrived and met with the victim, who stated his medications had been taken. The officer observed that there were empty medication bottles in the bathroom. The victim advised that this has happened multiple times. The victim advised that he needed a report in order to get his medications filled.
SPEEDING DRIVER HAS NO PAPERWORK
An officer contacted a suspect on 6th and McCutcheon for speeding on July 23. The driver was not able to provide any paperwork for the truck. The officer had the vehicle towed along with a motorcycle that was in the bed of the truck. The suspect was cited and released.
FEMALE DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE
An officer investigating a separate call noticed a female entering a vehicle and looking like she was under the influence of narcotics. The female left in the vehicle and was later contacted during a traffic stop. The officer noted the driver appeared to be under the influence. The officer had the suspect complete field sobriety tests. Several clues were noted, and the suspect was arrested. The suspect was advised of the implied consent warning and agreed to a blood test. A tow inventory was completed, and a blue pill, identified as fentanyl, was located. The suspect, Jennie Marie Romero, age 37 of San Antonio, was taken to SGH for a blood draw and later booked at the SCDC. She was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two counts of driving while under the influence, and two counts of improper display of a license plate.
TIRES PUNCTURED
A victim at 700 N 6th St on July 24 advised that while their vehicle was parked, an unknown suspect punctured the tire of the vehicle. The officer met with staff at Walmart and reviewed footage, but the officer was not able to find any footage of the incident.
MAN BLACKMAILED BY FEMALE ONLINE
A victim at 407 Center on July 24 advised officers that he was in contact with a female online. The two began sharing explicit images through their social media accounts. The female suspect advised the victim to send her $1000 or she would contact his work and school. The victim advised that he did not send any money and blocked the suspect on all social media. The victim did not have any identifying information for the female, but believed she lived in Moriarity, NM.
FAMILY MEMBERS HARASS BOYFRIEND IN PARKING LOT
A caller advised that he was at a doctor’s appointment at 1202 Highway 60 on July 25 with his girlfriend when her family members, who have been harassing him, were seen in the parking lot. The caller advised that she went outside to make sure the vehicle was not damaged. While outside, the family members were passing by and yelling at the caller. The incident was documented, and no contact was made with the suspects.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
An officer was called to a home at 285 Hope Farms Rd on July 25 for a domestic violence call. The officer met with a female victim who advised that she was pushed and had her phone taken away by the suspect. The suspect denied the incident. The victim did have a visible mark on her back. The suspect, Miguel Sedillo, age 26 of Socorro, was arrested and charged with three counts of domestic violence, three counts of criminal damage to property of a household member, deprivation of property by a household member and three counts of interference with communications and booked at SCDC.
DUI AT COONIES
An officer on July 25 was called to the area of Hwy 60 for an erratic driver. The officer contacted the suspect at the package liquor store. The suspect had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person and advised the officer that he was the driver of the vehicle. The officer asked the suspect to complete field sobriety tests, the officer noted several clues and arrested the suspect. The suspect was advised of implied consent and agreed to a breath test. The suspect provided three breath samples with results of .27, .29, and .29. The suspect was being taken for medical clearance when he asked officers to retrieve his guns from the vehicle. The officer went to the tow yard and located several guns and when looking inside an ammo can, found hallucinogenic mushrooms. The officers obtained a search warrant and retrieved the mushrooms. Charges are pending lab results. The suspect, Robin Dowling, age 44 of Magdalena, was charged with two counts of aggravated driving while under the influence, BAC of .16 or higher.
DECEASED MALE FOUND
Officers responded to a report of a deceased male found at 444 Eaton Ave on July 25. EMS was on scene and had requested OMI. The individual was found deceased with no visible signs of injury or foul play. OMI arrived and took custody of the body.
POSSIBLE BURGLARY
Officers responded to a possible burglary at 444 Eaton Ave on July 26. The resident reported missing items, including food, change and prescription medication. No signs of forced entry were observed, and no surveillance footage was available. The incident was documented at the resident’s request.
STOLEN/LOST WALLET
Officers responded to a report at 512 Tierra Bonita of a lost or stolen wallet on July 26. The reporting party believed the wallet was left at a yard sale. A search of the location, with the homeowner’s consent, was conducted, but the wallet was not found. The incident was documented at the request of the reporting party.
WARRANT ARREST
While on patrol on July 26, officers observed a male on Fisher Ave known to have an active warrant. The individual was arrested and transported for processing. They were booked into the detention center.
MAN TURNS HIMSELF IN FOR OUTSTANDING WARRANTS
Officers on patrol in the area of McCutcheon Ave on July 26 made contact with a male who wanted to turn himself in for outstanding warrants. A records check confirmed two active warrants. The individual was taken into custody, processed and booked at the detention center without incident.
CAR SCRATCHED
Officers responded to a report of vehicle damage on July 27 at 1211 Gibson Circle. The vehicle showed signs of intentional scratching and roof damage. The owner suspected possible individuals but had no video evidence due to non-functioning cameras. No shoe prints or additional evidence were found.
CAR CRASH AND ASSAULT
Officers responded to a vehicle crash on Leroy and College on July 27. The crash was reported to have been caused by another vehicle chasing the victim’s car. After the crash, the suspects approached the victim and damaged her vehicle. One suspect was reported to have brandished a firearm. The officers located and interviewed the primary suspect, who admitted to following the vehicle and striking the window but denied having a weapon. Additional parties involved were interviewed and provided similar accounts. The suspect, Matthew Nate McDaniel, age 19 of Socorro, was arrested and charged with twelve counts of aggravated assault and six counts of injuring or tampering with a motor vehicle. They were booked at the SCDC without incident.
VEHICLE WITH NO PAPERS, FICTICIOUS PLATES
Officers in the area of 5th and Otero conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a headlight violation on July 27. The officers discovered the driver had no license, registration, or insurance. The driver’s license was found to be suspended/revoked, and the vehicle had improperly secured and fictitious plates. Five citations were issued, and the vehicle was towed. The driver was released without incident.
STOLEN BICYCLE
Officers responded to 615 Ivy St on July 27 for a report of a stolen bicycle. The victim stated the bike was last seen in the early morning. The bike was valued at $752.00
STOLEN BICYCLE FOUND
An officer was advised of a social media post listing a bicycle as being stolen on July 29. The officer was aware of who had the bicycle. The bicycle was recovered in the area of 6th St and logged for safekeeping. The owner has not filed a larceny report for the bicycle.
ATV TAKEN
A victim on 732 Hope Farms Rd on July 29 reported that his 4-wheeler ATV was taken from his yard. The victim later called back and advised that he found the ATV in a ditch and remembered that he had left it in the ditch.
WOMAN WITH WARRANT FLEES ARREST
An officer located a suspect with an arrest warrant on July 29 in the area of B St and Hwy 85. The suspect fled on foot but was captured by the officer in the parking lot. The suspect, Jaenee Nicole Martinez, age 35, of Socorro, was arrested for the warrant and one charge of resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer. She was booked at SCDC.
LANDLORDS’ HOME BROKEN INTO
An officer was called to a home at 307 Baca St on July 30 for a break-in. The officer met with the tenant, who advised that his landlord’s home had been broken into and that items were missing. The officer was able to speak with the victim by phone. The victim advised that several items were missing from the home and provided a preliminary list and values. The officer was advised of homeless subjects, knowing the victim does not stay in the home for months at a time, and anyone who knows could have entered the home. At this time, there are no suspects.
WARRANT ARREST
A suspect on July 30 on Hwy 85 was contacted for having a valid arrest warrant. The warrant was confirmed, and the suspect was arrested. The suspect was interviewed by an assisting officer and gave a statement. The suspect was booked at SCDC.
ITEMS MISSING FROM TOWED VEHICLE
A victim on 512 Highway 60 advised that his vehicle was towed by a company and now the victim noticed items missing and fuses removed. The officer was shown the fuse panel and items that were removed. The officer documented the incident.
ASSAULT IN SCHOOL PARKING LOT
A victim on July 31 advised that she was confronted by the suspect in a school parking lot on 609 Park. The confrontation was over an incident involving the victim’s son. The victim advised that she was in fear of being hit. The incident was documented, and the suspect, Anastacia P. Calvillo, age 41 of Socorro, was charged with one count of assault.
TABLETS TAKEN
A victim on July 31 at 209 Faulkner advised that a suspect was evicted from the home. As the victim was speaking to officers, the suspect took two computer tablets, each valued at $20. The victim did not see the suspect take the tablets but believed she did. The victim does not want charges filed but wants the tablets returned.
BATTERY AND PUBLIC AFFRAY
Justice Martinez, age 21 of Socorro, was charged with two counts of public affray and two counts of battery on July 31 in the area of 1006 N California St. No other information was provided.
CREDIT CARD THEFT
On July 31 at 409 Center St, a victim advised that the suspect used his credit card after the two had ended their relationship. The suspect made a charge of $60. The victim advised that the subject admitted to the use of the card without his permission. Jaydyn Beyette, age 21 of Tacoma, WA, was charged with one count of theft of a credit card/retain possession.
