FIGHT – Police were called to a fight at Sarracino Middle School between two girls on May 1. The caller advised one student said she wanted to fight another. The one student waited outside the class. When the second student exited, the first student began hitting the other student. As the two were fighting a teacher tried to separate the two suspects. The teacher was not able to separate the students by herself and called for assistance. A second teacher arrived and the two separated the students. During the incident the teachers were struck by the students. Once the students were released from the school, one student went in to get her belongings from class and asked one of the teachers that separated the fight why did they stop her and called the teacher a bitch. The officer referred the charges to a Juvenile Probation and parole officer.

LARCENY – Adam Turrieta, 47, was charged with stealing three ring cameras from the home at 112 Calle De San Miguel on May 1. The victim showed the officer a video of the suspect. The Turrieta was identified by the victim.

HOME INVASION – Police were notified of a home invasion at 602 Leroy at 7:57 p.m. on May 1. The victim advised she was cleaning the home in anticipation of renting it. She told police someone had been staying at the home, pointing to missing items and feces in the toilet that shouldn’t have been there. The victim requested patrols of the home. There was no evidence to identify a suspect at the time.

MISSING DOGS – Janella Foulenfont, 49, of Socorro, charged with battery after an incident at 9:52 a.m. on May 1. The caller advised police when they woke up they were missing dogs from their home. The caller advised police that he, his daughter and the victim went to the home of the suspect. The caller knocked on the door and the suspect answered the door and two of the dogs came out of the home. The victim tried taking the third dog when the suspect grabbed the victim by the hair and started pushing them. The three individuals left the home with two of the dogs, and the victim asked police to file charges. The suspect was later arrested on an outstanding warrant.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – Police were called to a scene at 1601 El Camino Real at 2:40 p.m., May 1, for a woman passed out in a vehicle. When an officer arrived and located the vehicle and a female in the passenger seat. The officer made contact and opened the car door. The female woke up and advised the police she was fine. However, the officer noticed a narcotics pipe in the female’s lap. The officer recovered the pipe and noticed it was filled with drug residue. The female was asked to exit the car and was placed under arrest and refused medical care. The female advised police she had more pills in her vehicle. The officer recovered a large bag of fentanyl pills. Arrested was Monica Acevedo, 38, of Socorro. She was charged with two counts of controlled substance, trafficking and two counts of possession of a controlled substance and booked into the Socorro County Detention Center.

SHOPLIFTING – Police were called to Tractor Supply in Socorro for a shoplifting call on May 2. The officer was told an employee was able to get the merchandise back. Upon arrival, police were advised a male in a yellow traffic jacket vest was in the store and pushed a shopping cart full of merchandise out the door without paying. The employee was able to get the stolen merchandise valued at $973.13. The suspect entered a vehicle and left. The officer was unable to identify the suspect.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE – Dominic Pino, 34, of Socorro was charged with two counts of a controlled substance and two counts of a tail/license plate light required when police arrested him at 9:41 p.m., May 3, at the corner of California and Church Street. When an officer stopped Pino’s vehicle, he witnessed him grab a foil and conceal it under this leg. The suspect did give police verbal consent to search his car and located additional narcotics in the car. Pino was arrested and booked into the Socorro County Detention Center and the narcotics were logged as evidence.

FALSELY OBTAINING SERVICES – Alvin Bruton, 41, of Socorro, was charged with plugging an electric cord into an outside outlet at Safe Harber and extending into the yard of a private home at 2:30 p.m. May 3. The officer removed the cord. The same day Bruton came to the police department requesting his power cord. The officer filed charges on the suspect.
