Three Socorroans arrested in major drug bust Nov. 22

Methamphetamines, fentanyl and psilocybin mushrooms were recovered in a search warrant on November 22 by the Socorro Police Department.

According to police documents, three Socorro residents, 47-year-old Anthony Baca, 37-year-old Arthur Valenzuela and 60-year-old Carol Myers, were arrested and booked in the Socorro County Detention Center.

The officers obtained a search warrant on the suspect’s home at 512 Calle Bonita, said reports. Upon entry, the officer reportedly located Myers attempting to flush narcotics. She was detained, and the officers continued their search in the house. Two males, Valenzuela and Baca, were found in the home and arrested. Officers reportedly found narcotics, lodgers and money.

Myers has three charges of trafficking of a controlled substance (distribution) (narcotics) (first offense) and a felony charge of tampering with evidence, according to court documents. Valenzuela and Baca each have one charge of possession of a controlled substance.
