Evelyn Louise Spears 1939 – 2024

Evelyn Louise Spears was born on November 13, 1939 in La Junta, Colorado to Everette Leland Buhrle and Frances May Seal. She was married to Charlie Spears and resided in Magdalena, New Mexico until January 26, 2024. Evelyn was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed by all who loved her. She and her husband ran Spears Trucking Company for many years. She loved kids and always loved to have children around whether they be hers, grandkids or children she babysat for. She loved collecting horses, banks and coins. She was famous for her fudge at school functions for her children. She always had beans, chili and tortillas for her family. Her door was always open to family and friends. The more kids around the merrier.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charlie Spears, parents Everette Buhrle, Frances Love, step parents Charles Love and Jean Buhrle, brothers Richard Buhrle Sr. and David Buhrle, sister Sandy Standord and grandson Billy Alford.

Evelyn is survived by her siblings Gladys Ansley, John Buhrle, Everette Buhrle Jr, Charles Gene Love, and Joni Sue Emswiler.

Her Children and spouses are Linda Bland, Raymond Spears and wife Vicky, Robert Spears and wife Judy, Tammy Carpenter and husband Ross, William Spears, Frances Murdock, Charlotte Perkins and husband Chad.

Her Grandchildren are Cody and Cindy Bland, Hank and Casie Bland, Sammy Bland, Emmit and Jennifer Bland, Diane Spears and Tyler Hernandez, Roxanne Ganadonegro and Valentine Soto-Paz, Tara and Chris Yarbrough, Jara and Anthony Solares, Jessica and Kevin Vorbeck, Charles and Becca Spears, Brandy Spears and Sean Caldwell, Ashley Simmons, Chris Simmons, James Alford, Chandy and Glenn Hefley, Dusty Hinkle, Cash Murdock, Kenneth Hollar, Andrea and Augustine Lopez, Charlie and Anissa Perkins, Sydnee Perkins.

Great grandchildren are Bailey, Ashton, Kaylee, Jasper, Autumn, Emmitt, Stetsen, Tatum, Wyatt Bland. Tremille and Levi Padilla, Arya and John Soto-Paz, Vigil Hernandez, Braelyn and Dakota Yarbrough, Serenity and Easton Solares, Kaiden, Kyler, Xavier, Dennis, Alexis, Anthony, Adrian, and Ezlyn Spears, Royce, Dean and Cooper Caldwell, Sophia Alford, Taylor, Guyman and Eli Mann, Haven, Stockton, Stevie, and Loretta Hefley, Hailey May, Jarrett and Devin Hinkle, Charles Joseph Perkins.

Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on July 6 at the Magdalena Warehouse at 10 a.m.
