John A. Chavez 1945-2024

John A. Chavez 79, of Peoria, AZ, passed away at home surrounded by his family on July 2, 2024.

John was born June 4, 1945 in Socorro, NM to Louisita (Hinigio) Romero. He graduated from Socorro High School in 1963, then enrolled in the Air Force in 1965-1969. John retired as a respiratory therapist at St. Luke’s Hospital in Phoenix, AZ.

John is proceeded in death by his wife of 28 years, Marian Chavez, parents Louisita (Hinigio) Romero, three siblings, Richard Romero, Andy Romero and Victor Romero.

He is survived by his brother Rudy (Eva) Chavez, sisters Evie Romero and Lisa Guerra, as well as his children Chris (Corina) Chavez, Gina Chavez, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren. He was loved and will be forever missed, but never forgotten.
