Juanita Rivera 1940-2024

Juanita Rivera, 84, of Silver City passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

A Recitation of the Holy Rosary led by Lupe Flores will begin at twelve, noon on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Saint Francis Newman Center in Silver City. The Funeral Mass will take place at twelve-thirty. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Fort Bayard National Cemetery. Father Ephraim Ezulike will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Miguel Lozano, JR Lozano, Scott Martinez, Ethan Rivera, Mathew Rivera and Patrick Rivera.

Honorary Pallbearers are Thomas Rivera and Zachary Rivera.

Juanita was born October 8, 1940 in Encino, NM to Blas and Ursula Garcia.

She is survived by one brother, Daniel (Virginia) and five sisters, Elisia (Joe), Berna (Steve), Clarita, Rosie (Demetrio), AnnaBell (Lucio); two sisters-in-law, Oralia Archibeque and Rosie Rivera.

She is also survived by her children, Marty (Cindy), Debbie, Matilda (Peter), Elaine (Mike), Charles, Jeffrey (Paula), Brian (Corrina), Geraldine and Frederick; grandchildren, Michele, Melissa, Melinda, Thomas, Miguel, JR, Scott, Zachary, Alysha, Deandra, Ethan, Mathew, Patrick and Shyanne Miller; great-grandchildren, Josephine, Karla, Braylon, Mickaela, Mia, Kadance, Zoe, Henry, Emery, Westyn, Elikai and Endri.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Adan, ten siblings, and one grandson, Tyrone.
