The firstborn child of Abel Robert Breitha, Sr. and Martha Silva Breitha, Susan was instantly the apple of her parents’ eyes, and the feeling was mutual. Susan adored her parents. Her dad was her very first hero. Her mom taught her the importance of pouring your love into your children, and showed her by example every day just how that’s done. Joined over a few short years by three younger siblings, Susan was naturally a wonderful big sister who – like a true big sis – loved to playfully torment her younger siblings. Susan welcomed three children, Bernadette Breitha, Raymond Daniel Jaramillo, and Jason Jaramillo. She was immensely proud of and loved her children tremendously. The extra sparkle in her eyes, however, came from her grandchildren. Susan was never happier than when she was spending time with her kids and grandkids. No money needed to be spent; no activities needed to be done – it was enough to her to be together. Some of Susan’s favorite pastimes were going to the casino with her mom and siblings, cheering her grandkids on at their many events, laughing and reminiscing with her kids, sitting at the plaza listening to live music, chatting with friends over a nice lunch, working on her yard, and cooking. Susan loved to feed people. If you showed up at her house, she didn’t let you leave hungry. Chances are, as you’re reading this, you’re remembering a time she made you tamales, enchiladas, or another of her delicious specialties. Susan’s loving heart and nurturing spirit made her the greatest daughter, big sister, mom, grandma, and friend. She knew no strangers – she walked away from everyone she met as a valued friend. A proud member of Team Sturgess, she brought these traits to her role as a Care Coordinator with Presbyterian Healthcare Services, quickly becoming indispensable to her clients and her coworkers. Susan gave the best advice. Whether it was guiding her kids and grandkids through life choices, advising her clients, serving as the voice of reason for her friends, or even just sharing easy and affordable dinner ideas in the supermarket aisles, Susan always knew what to say. Susan left everyone better than she found them. We are better for having known her. Our hearts are fuller for having been loved by her. The world is a better place for having had her.

Susan is survived by her mother, Martha Silva Breitha of Las Cruces, NM; her three children, Bernadette Breitha of Henderson, NV, Raymond Daniel Jaramillo of Los Chavez, NM, and Jason Jaramillo of Amarillo, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Katheryne Breitha, Jacob Breitha, Aaliyah Jaramillo, Xavier Jaramillo, Lilliana Jaramillo, Zachariah Jaramillo, Elijah Garcia-Jaramillo, Maria “Espi” Dominguez, Nadia Salinas, Horacio Chavez, Fernando Ramirez, and her great-granddaughter Anais Dominguez, her brother Abel Robert Breitha, Jr., and her sisters Sandra (Breitha) Bustamante and Shirley Breitha. Other survivors include the father of her children – Raymond Jaramillo, Enriquez “Henry” Ulibarri, her nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, close friends, and all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her father, Abel Robert Breitha, Sr.
