My dad was a B-17 pilot/instructor during WWII. He flew into ABQ when it was 110°. Flying out he had the throttles wide open and all he could see was the Sandia Mtns. Made it but swore he’d never ever do it again. Mr. Harold Dotson (Raychester) was a B-17 pilot.
