BASKETBALL: It’s a championship Saturday in Socorro

Socorro will be the site of three championship basketball games on Saturday, Feb. 25 with both varsity teams hosting district title games and the Warriors junior varsity looking for a JV title.

The boys JV championship is set for a 10 a.m. start, and admission to the game is free.

Tickets will be required for the varsity games, and the gym will be cleared out following the JV. The District 3-3A rules require that this be charged as a “double game,” and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. No passes will be allowed.

Tickets must be purchased on GoFan as no cash will be accepted at the door.

The Lady Warriors (8-18, 5-1) tipoff against Cobre (9-18, 2-4) at 1 p.m., and the Warriors (11-15, 6-0) will follow with a game against Hots Springs (17-9, 4-2) at 3 p.m.
