Magdalena’s Zamora, Stuteville and Maribal named All-State

On Monday, the New Mexico High School Coaches Association recognized three Magdalena athletes with All-State honors after they led their teams to the high school state basketball tournaments.

Joseph Zamora picked up the top honors with a selection to the All-State first team. Starting in his second state title game, Zamora netted a game-high 17 points, pulled down seven rebounds and passed out six assists.

Jefferery-Stuteville-all-state

Jeffert Stuteville will be back next year for the Steers after starting at post his season. For his efforts in the 2023-24 season Stuteville is a second team All-State honoree.

It’s not a surprise junior Jorianne Mirabal is on the All-State team but the leading scorer on a team that lost to the eventual state champion being an honorable mention seems a rung or two low on the ladder.
