Ocampo hosting volleyball skills camp for area athletes in June

Local aspiring Lady Warrior volleyball players will have an opportunity for one-on-one instruction from current college volleyball player and alumni Marysa Ocampo in a skills camp set for June 13-14 at Socorro High School.

Ocampo recorded 420 assists and 136 digs this season for the Shorter College Hawks, where she transferred last year after a successful career at NMMI.

The camp is for students entering 7th-12th grade. It will be held at the SHS gym on June 13-14 from 1-4 p.m.

The cost for one athlete is $20 for the entire camp. Athletes will need knee pads, athletic shoes, athletic clothes, and a water bottle (it gets hot in the gym; bring plenty of water).
