Ocampo named Co-Offensive Most Valuable Player

After leading his team

to a 9-3 record and a

berth in the state football

playoffs, Socorro quarterback Isaiah Ocampo was

selected by league coaches

as Co-District 3-3A

Offensive Player of the

Year, highlighting a bevy

of all-district honors for the

Warriors.

Ocampo passed for

2,069 yards and 27 touchdowns and added 1,152

on the ground, adding six

more scores.

Most of those passing

yards went to first-team all-district receivers Jay Lee

(60-944, 13 TD) and Alex

Amaro (54-808, 5 TD).

“I’m so proud of all of

these guys who are being

rewarded for the hard

work and effort they put

in year-round to be better

players,” Socorro football

coach Damien Ocampo

said. “Being all-district is

special because your opponents’ coaches decide on

your selection.”
