The Lady Braves finished their season in style by winning all of their matches last week. The seventh and eighth grade teams both beat the Magdalena Steers junior high teams in Socorro on Monday, Oct. 6.

Then both teams won again at home on Wednesday, Oct. 8, versus the Edgewood Eagles. Seventh graders won in three sets: L 25-14, W 25-19, W 16-14. Eighth graders won 2-0: W 25-19 and W 25-16.

The very next day, they went on the road to Quemado on Thursday, Oct. 9, and won again. Seventh graders won 2-0: 25-3 and 25-8. Eighth graders won in two sets as well: 25-9 and 25-11.

The seventh graders wrapped up their season with a 6-8 record, and the eighth graders finished with an impressive 10-4 record.

“I’m just so proud of my eighth girls on finishing with a strong season 10-4 and coming out second place in the Magdalena tournament. Also very proud of my seventh graders on an awesome season and hard work they put in this year and can’t wait for next year to come!” Head Coach Steven Silva said.
